Chapter 8 by Yabusa Yabusa

A knock on the door? Your phone's ringing? Something else?

Leo, a former coworker, knocking on your door

The tapping at your door surprised you, at least the timing was strange. Who wanted to talk so early in the morning? Couldn't be the delivery guy or anything this early, he somehow shows up at the latest possible time in the day. You held up a finger to Tori. "Hold that thought."

Tori plucked a remaining strip of bacon from the tray, nibbling on it as she booped Sabel's snoot. "Take your time, I'll just do some more unpacking."

You opened the door, expecting to need to shoo away whoever might be there, but you were surprised to see one of your former coworkers at your previous architecting gig. Leo Pirelli was an older man, a bit large with graying hair and an infectious laugh whenever he wasn't talking about sports in a thick East Coast accent. The guy was loud and boisterous, a life of the party type, though you recall your manager struggling to deal with what he thought was a lack of seriousness on Leo's part.

"Leo, hey, this is... unexpected. What's up?"

Leo shook your hand, a gesture that few others you know would make so often with a friend, but Leo seemed to always shake everyone's hand like a good businessman. "Peter, buddy! It's been a while, eh? I heard from Donny that you were up in the Midvale area now, so I thought I'd stop by since I'm passing through from Spiral City heading to Seatown. Really nice place you got here, kid. This place was built in the... fifties? It's got that classic ranch home style to the layout and roof."

You nodded. Leo had a knack for knowing something about a building after studying it for just a few moments, he was a walking architecture encyclopedia. "Uh, come on in. Something to drink?" Leo shook his head as he took a miniature tour of your living room and kitchen. "Oh, uh, Victoria, this is Leo, he and I worked on the Seatown Public Library redesign. Leo, Victoria. I've known her forever, she does veterinarian work around here and she's staying with me for a bit."

Leo waved at your friend, chuckling. "He did most of the redesign if we're being honest. Richards shot down just about every idea I had, I don't think he liked me much. Now Peter, that guy's got some ideas! Everyone loved his vision from the start on that thing, must've been the smoothest design phase I'd ever been in."

Tori smiled politely, and then glanced at you. "Well well, look at you, you overachiever. How come you're not just running the whole show there now?"

"The studio didn't want to bring me on full-time, just renew my contract for another year. And that's fine, the new place lets me work remote which is why I'm back here at all."

"They were pretty stupid to let you go," Leo said with a grunt. "Anyway, I was thinking, I've got two tickets to the Seatown Sharks tonight, my friend backed out. I'd really like it if you could go with me Pete, so we could catch up."

You glanced over at Tori, who just shrugged. She did seem a little disappointed that you might not be around for the day, since she hadn't even spent that much time with you yet. You turned back to Leo, with a little sigh as you tried to think fast. "Sorry Leo, wish I could, but I'm still helping Tori move in and get settled, so I'm pretty busy."

You could tell that Leo's mood drooped when you told him the news, and his next words were filled with an unusual amount of desperation for him. "Please Pete, I really need you to come with me so the tickets aren't wasted."

Tori bolted upright, the chair sliding away from her with a screech along the hardwood floor. Her hand glowed purple, and she began to stumble towards Leo with purposeful strides! You crossed your arms and squinted at the sigh. "Oh come on, Tori! Over basketball tickets going to waste?"

"I don't make the rules," Tori said in an almost trance-like fashion before she touched Leo. In an instant, he was gone, and all that was left was Tori looking down at herself. Her hair had shortened, almost into a messy pixie cut, while her body took on somewhat more exaggerated curves, born from Leo's imaginations of his ideal woman's shape, no doubt. But the strangest part of all was that Leo was at the helm of your friend almost entirely.

"Holy..." Tori turned toward you, hands on her chest. "I got tits somehow!" Tori's voice had adopted Leo's speaking mannerisms, particularly his accent. Her hands quickly reached down to her crotch, and she grunted. "Nope, that's gone. ...Huh. Channeling. So your friend's got some magic curse, huh?"

You blinked, and stepped closer to make sure Tori--and Leo--was okay. "Leo? How do you know that?"

"I got all her memories and understanding of all things feminine if I need them, plus this situation just makes sense to me." Leo shrugged, and then grinned. "Seems you don't have an excuse to stay home with Tori now! There's only two of us now, so my two tickets work just fine! I bet you'll talk with me all night after, too, if I bat my eyelashes enough. Maybe I get some v-neck to really show these girls off..." Leo held her hands at her chest, jiggling the breasts up and down lightly in delight.

"Ugh, would you stop that Leo? That's my friend! And I gotta think."

Leo rolled her eyes. "Hey, she's the one who loaned me her body! And it's to solve a need, and I need to spend some time with you, which I could do with you without the basketball tickets, if you wanna just stay here and I'll learn all about my new borrowed body, with or without you. But wouldn't it be so much better if we just go to the game, have a nice time, catch up on some things and unwind?" She shimmied her hips back and forth, like she had a particular idea about how to unwind...

Crossing your arms, you tried to call Leo's bluff. "You wouldn't want to stay here and do stuff with me anyway, I'd bet. Aren't you married? And a guy?"

Leo cleared her throat, shifting a little uncomfortably. "Well, uh, in this body I'm only so much in charge of things, but I still have Victoria's sexual preferences, it would seem. The body's making that abundantly clear to me... Can we just go to the game to take my mind off that new development? I know for a fact, a cold hard fact, that you don't have anything planned today because Tori doesn't either."

Well, Leo's certainly got you there. You didn't really want to make a drive down to Seatown when it was your off-week for visiting your girlfriend there, but your coworker was holding your friend's body hostage and you honestly could use a diversion anyway...

Go to the game, or convince Leo to stay in town?
