Lana: We should head left, that is the shortest way, isn't that right, Ranvi?

Ranvi: Yes, but... I think it is dangerous.

Drek: No worry Ranvi, we are here to fight together, nothing can overcome our combined strength!

Ranvi: I hope so...

Lana: That's the spirit! To the left, than!

The trail seems the same as before, you don't feel anything odd about it. Maybe Ranvi was wrong. The trees don't seem to be preparing for any surprises, so you pass along them without anything unusual happening. Soon however you hear some strange noises from ahead. You switch your helmet's sensors to a more sensitive mode to check the noise.

Lana: It's like some kind of animal's noise... I better scout ahead before going any further.

Ranvi: See? I told you, we shouldn't have come this way!

Lana: Relax, it might be nothing!

You turn on the infrared visors on your helmet to see if there is anything in the mist nearby. They don't work as they were intended to, so you remain in the dark about the noises. You try to sense them through the ****, but before you could get to it, you feel the ground shaking under your feet. You look around and see a horde of Nydaks charging at you!

Nydaks are native to Dathomir, they are deadly predators who usually travel in packs. They are roughly as tall as you are, when standing on their legs. They have very strong arms, but usually travel on their legs, using their arms for running only if they want to increase their speed. Now, a dozen of them are coming for you!

Drek: Come, stand closer and let's defend each other's back! Just like on Christophsis!

Ranvi: There are so many of them!

Lana: Focus Ranvi, we will deal with them all!

They are coming relentlessly from all directions, you must have slain a few dozen of them, yet they continue their waves of attacks. All of a sudden, you hear a louder roar from behind them. They all stand aside and give way to a bigger Nydak, which is about twice the size of the others! This one must be the alpha in the pack! And he is coming for you!

Drek: Oh by the! This one is huge!

Ranvi: What are we going to do...?!

Lana: Ranvi... I have an idea. I'll need a **** push when I count to 3, are you ready? One...

Ranvi: Wait Lana, I don't think...!

Lana (jumping up): Two... Three!

Ranvi (**** pushing you): Oh my, my...

The **** sends you directly against the charging Nydak. You have held your lightsaber in front of you as a lance and pierced it through it's body. You clash into him though, but your armour negates the impact. The large Nydak cries out in pain as your lightsaber is still in him, he collapses and dies right after. The other smaller Nydaks look in horror as their leader has been killed. They all panic and scatter into the woods where they were before. You get up and take your sabre back.

Ranvi: Lana, this was one of your craziest ideas yet!

Lana: But we are alive! And it is not! That's what matters, isn't it?

Drek: Yes, but next time, you could tell us what you are planning before executing the plan!

Lana: Hey, there was no time, okay?

Ranvi: You will get us all killed one day if one such plan fails us!

Lana: You will get to say "Lana, I told you this wasn't going to work!", will that make you happy?

Ranvi: Yes! Honestly!

Lana: Great, now, let's go before they come back.

As you proceed, you find an opening, with an exceptionally tall old tree at the middle of it.

Lana: I have a really bad feeling about it, so we better play it safe!

Ranvi: Lana, this tree is, so strange...

Drek: Where have we heard this before?

Ranvi: No, as if, this was the centre of the swamp. Maybe this is what we were sent here for and the flowers are around it. We should check.

Lana: If you say so Ranvi, but watch out... Don't forget how our last tree adventure ended!

Ranvi (rolling her eyes): I won't, don't worry...

You stand around the gigantic old tree. It is unlike anything you have ever seen before. You look around but no sight of the flowers you were sent for.

Drek: I guess this isn't the place. We should probably get going.

Lana: I agree, come Ranvi, we still got stuff to do.

Ranvi (looking up at the tree): Yes, just a sec.

Lana: Do you sense something again?

Ranvi: Feels like this tree is the heart of the entire swamp. I can so clearly feel the dark side flowing around it that it almost knocks me in the head.

Lana: I can sense a powerful dark side presence too, all the more reason to leave it alone.

Ranvi: You are right... Better not disturb anything like this. This tree is a creature of the dark side itself, I should try finding some texts about it when we get back, I am fascinated by it!

Drek: Always the plants... How boooring!

Ranvi: Drek, plants are the most important lifeforms of the entire galaxy, had they not been producing the necessary nutrients from the soils of the planets, we wouldn't have been able to evolve as we are today! The galaxy would almost be without life!

Drek: Yeah, yeah, let's go and pick those flowers so that I can get some of the nutrients I like when we are done!

As they argue you spot the branches of the tree start slowly moving, just like that tree before.

Lana: Guys...

Ranvi: Oh, you are helpless! Not giving the well deserved attention to the nature of the galaxy!

Lana (seeing they are moving towards you slowly): Guys...!

Drek: Yes? And What would happen to those plants had we not invented the machines and fertilizers to feed and care for them?! The useful ones can barely survive on their own!

Lana: GUYS! Watch out! This tree is coming to life too!

Drek: Oh, not again! Idiot plants!
