"Well Debra, I suppose I should get going." Lauren's mother said. She shot a glare at Lauren. "Behave, and do what you're told."

"Yes mom." Lauren said, hanging her head in shame. She hated seeming so infantile in front of her rival!

"Yes, I have to go check on some other cases." The community service worker said. "Now that Lauren's all checked in I leave it to you Debra."

The two older women left. Lauren now felt rather vulnerable, alone with Debra.

"Well Lauren, let's put you to work..." Debra rubbed her hands together.
