Leave the car and hide in the woods.

There's only one valid option, you think. You have to leave the car behind. They will find you in that car. It's too big. It can't go through the woods, and you can't go back on the streets.

You are not really equipped for a hike in the wilderness, but what's the choice? You don't even bother to close the door, as you hurry away from your car and head into a direction where the underwood seems thickest and no police car can follow you.

Soon, your car is out of sight. Trees are rustling in the wind, leaves are crunching under your feet. You head on. You have a very rough idea where you are, definitely outside of the city and with no villages around in the near vicinity that you remember. But maybe you can find a hut or a lonely house somewhere. Question is: Would you dare calling on someone for help? Would that be even wise?

Well, there's enough time to make that decision as soon as you find someone. If you find someone. You walk on for at least one hour, and orientate yourself towards more easily accessible parts of the forest. There's no use in scrambling through the thickest bushes, you won't get any distance behind you. Sometimes you pause and listen if anyone follows you, but the forest stays quiet, apart from the howling of the wind, the rustling branches and some birds.

You expect to hear the sound of a helicopter, but so far there's nothing. Maybe they didn't find your car after all? Maybe it was stupid to leave it behind? But it's too late to turn around now.

After what feels like hours of walking, you suddenly stumble over a path. It's bigger than a deer crossing, but you're not sure if it has been used by humans in the last months or so. To the right, it seems to lead deeper into the forest, to the left you see an opening in the distance. Could be a clearing or the end of the forest.
