Leave the Mall? But why?

Lauren was surprised and relieved as Charlotte led her from the mall. There were all those people there, Lauren was sure Charlotte would try to embarrass her more in that crowded location. Behind them Dennis and Kyle were slightly confused and let down. Wasn't Charlotte enjoying embarrassing Lauren? They were hoping for more! Charlotte looked back at them with a mischievous wink, and they were reassured that they were in for something good.

So, everyone piled into the car as Charlotte began driving. Lauren sat in the back with Dennis, crossing her arms and averting her gaze. Dennis looked at her, feeling superior, excited an amused all at once. The girl who'd scorned and bullied him for years was here, all femininity stripped away, dressed like a dorky little boy! It was beyond belief!

A short while later they arrived at their destination. Charlotte smiled, looking back at Lauren in the rear view mirror as the color drained from her face...
