Leave quietly.

"Dammit, Rebecca! Why did you do that?!" Sagus hissed quietly.

"I'm sorry! I lost control again."

"You've GOT to stop doing that!"

"I know! I know, Sagus, but it's not that simple."

"We'll deal with your temper later. For now, we have to get out of town. Ideas?"

"We should try to go from rooftop to rooftop," Sophie suggested. No one else came up with anything, so they stood halfway up and crept to the part of the church's roof closest to the next one over. Sagus jumped first, then Sophie, followed by Rebecca.

"I can't do it."

"Yes you can, Marianne. You have to." Marianne blushed slightly when Sagus continued. "I won't go on without you." She took a deep breath and jumped. She fell just short, but Sagus grabbed her hand and pulled her up.

They continued on like this, jumping from roof to roof until they came to a tavern on the edge of town. They were almost out! Problem was, it was way too far to jump to, and below, a group of townspeople had gathered with various weapons and tools.
