Learning to Multitask

The clerk huffed a bit, clearly more irritated than frightened by the recent experiences she couldn't find an explanation for. She did start looking around, probably more to make sure nobody had seen her acting strangely than to seek out the telekinetic waiting in the wings and messing with her. Either way, I didn't want to bring attention to myself by staring. I leafed through the jackets in front of me, trying to keep an eye on her with my peripheral vision.

When I realized she was staring back at the mannequin again, clearly still trying to work out what happened, I decided to push things a little more. I pushed through one jacket after another on the rack, ostensibly to look at sizes on the collars, but I kept lifting my gaze to the clerk and the mannequin.

Instead of a simple motion like unhooking or pulling this time, I tried something a little different. I focused on the matching pink lace bra wrapped around the mannequin's torso, and I imagined it growing. I guess the way I pictured it was pretty clear, because the effect was born out in reality better than I expected. The cups on the bra seemed to swell in every direction, pushing out against the front of the form as the band pulled even tighter around the back.

I also timed it well, because she was still looking up at the pink panties when the chest started swelling. She let out a little gasp and put her hand to her face, watching the pink lace expand as invisible **** filled the space between the bra and the mannequin's plastic chest. When she looked around again to see if anyone else could confirm this strange occurrence, I ducked behind the jackets again, losing my focus.

I let everything go for a second, moving further down the rack until I was ready to scope the scene again. When I looked around the other side of the rack, she was pacing in a slow arc around the mannequin. She was actually moving toward it. I was actually so impressed by her boldness that I didn't realize the more striking part of the scene I'd momentarily left behind...

The bra was still over-filled!

This was kind of a revelation, since I stopped focusing on the thing to make sure I ducked her gaze. As far as I could feel, I wasn't exerting any present effort to keep the telekinetically-expanded bra in that state, but there it was — still straining against the invisible **** I imagined.

I quickly tried to make sense of it, and could only come to the conclusion that anything I tried — up to now — had been a momentary motion. The women on the street, my self-shifting car, the panties on the mannequin and the clerk's wedgie... A grab. A pull.

This, I guess, was a change of state…and somehow dropping the thought in my mind didn't drop the effect! I kept in mind that just because I didn't feel myself exerting any energy, it didn't exactly mean I wasn't. Still, it certainly changed the ways I considered being able to use my powers.

As the clerk reached out to the oddly-filled bra, I realized I had the opportunity to take my experimenting up another notch.
