Starting the party?
Learning about traditions, and partaking.
As they followed Vidor along, Jan asked, “Why was he so interested in my engagement ring?”
Gen put a hand on her shoulder as they trotted along. “We use jewellery to communicate intent. Gold would suggest that you are available physically. Diamond that you are actively looking.”
Jan blinked, “So, he thought I would be interested in sleeping with him?”
Kay nodded, “Vidor is entertaining, and he may still be interested in you. I suspect many of the guests here will be. But please be careful. The bride or groom may proposition you, and if you accept, it is generally, in orc culture, expected you would be available to the rest of the party.”
Jan felt a tingle go through her, “You mean everyone here would want to fuck me?”
Gen shook his head, “No, only those involved in the wedding. Bride, Groom, their honoured, etc.”
Jan frowned before Kay answered, “Their honoured are those they have asked to participate. The men and women who stand with them to witness, the one conducting the ceremony, etc.”
“Oh, is that all,” Jan said. “So, be honest, how likely am I to get through this night without getting fucked?”
Gen smiled, “Well, I can’t say I didn’t have hopes.”
Jan laughed, “I guess having my breasts pressed against your shoulders the ride over didn’t help.”
Jan thought Gen was going to reply, but before he could, Vidor turned around; there were buckets of paint and brushes about. “Jan, may I show you our ways?”
Kay smiled, “It can be very intimate, and he will likely want to put handprints over much of your body and want you to do the same.”
Vidor smiled broadly, “Oh yes. I would very much enjoy doing that.”
Jan smiled back at him, “When in Rome,” she said. The three Mythfolk paused, and Jan realised her mistake. “Sorry, human saying, basically meaning, when in Rome experience things like a Roman, so, experience the culture and live like them.”
Vidor smiled again and called out to another orc who looked in their direction. The conversation continued for several moments before the other orc came over with several large mugs. “Muoth,” Vidor said.
Kay visibly started, “I thought muoth was illegal here?”
Vidor handed each of them a mug, “It is, but I have my ways. Jan. Muoth is a drink we orcs make from mushrooms, and it is bitter and sweet and has other effects.”
Jan looked to Kay, “You will see lights and colours. You will feel lightheaded.”
“It’s a ****?” Jan said.
“We use the mushrooms for treating pains and brew drinks for celebrations,” Vidor explained. “It is very good,” He held out the mug towards Jan again, “Rome?”
“Sure, why not?” Jan said, taking the mug.

When Worlds Collide
High fantasy meets suburban drama
About every 500 years our plane of existence overlaps with another, during this time when these world collide beings from each world can travel to the other through rifts. The world in question contains all those fantasy creatures which are so well known to us. Collectively they are known as Mythfolk individually they are the Elves, Centaurs, Dwarves and Orcs. Countless creatures from this other world, this other place. All evidence of this happening was destroyed during the dark ages, but now it is happening again. This time however we are more advanced than last time, this time we are more accepting of differences. So this time, some of these creatures have started to migrate here, to our world. This is the story of two humans who live in a quiet neighbourhood and what happens when some fantastical neighbours move in.
