Their changes were obvious. Hannah had transformed into someone more masculine, whereas Emmett had grown more feminine in return. The strange thing though, was that for Emmett, only his legs seemed to have transformed into those of a woman's, while Hannah had actually begun looking more like a male. The hairs on her arms had suddenly grown thicker and more noticeable. Her chest had gotten almost completely flat, she'd grown taller too. After a couple of days, they'd noticed she was even growing some stubble on her chin and her cheeks. Only a tiny bit, and mostly the kind of hairs that weren't all rough and prickly with a full beard. Prepubescent, more likely.

Without any answers to explain the phenomenon, the couple was left listless about how to solve this. Their family and friends had grown equally worse about the changes. Everybody quickly noticed some very noticeable patterns that had occurred over the whole world.

None of this was actually random.

Emmett, after calling several of his friends and colleagues, sometimes noticed very obvious changes among them, perhaps just their voice, or otherwise they told him about their new looks. A select few hadn't changed all that much, although they'd still felt the effects of the shockwaves, and they weren't certain that they hadn't actually already changed. But in the end, the effects of the first shockwave were the same for everybody. Complete loss of genitals. Complete loss of sexuality or sexual urges. Relationships were reliant on affection now, rather than sexual desire. It caused a lot of relationships to break off, but with barely any of them being broken off with **** or anger.

The changes that followed during the second shockwave, for Emmett and Hannah it happened while they slept, were different for everybody, but they too, could be classified in groups.

Some, like Hannah, seemed to undergo complete physical changes, spread over their whole bodies, into the other sex. Hannah grew more masculine, while Robin, one of Emmett's male colleagues at work, grew more feminine. He'd heard it from his voice changing, and when they spoke in person at work the other day, it was immediately noticeable. Shorter build, softer face, shapelier frame, and even some breast tissue forming, despite Robin's chest still being devoid of areolae.

For some others, like Emmett, the changes were only partial, and even then, they could be devided into two groups. Either only their lower bodies had undergone physical changes, in Emmett's case for example, or their upper bodies had altered, like a woman gaining broader shoulders, losing their breasts almost completely, and becoming more masculine in general.

Then there were also some people, whose changes stopped after the first shockwave. Since then, all they were still lacking, were either balls and a penis, or a vagina.

The most common theory that people brought forward, whether it was only in normal conversations, or when done by public figures on national or international television, was that the changes hadn't finished yet. Like Emmett believed when he got a good look at his feminized lower body, the thicker ass, wider hips, dainty feet and slender legs, he was only halfway there.

People were advised to continue with life as they normally would. And the majority of people seemed to calmly listen to it as well. Nobody died, there were no disasters, and nobody felt all that horrified at the loss of their sex organs, now that they knew that it had happened to everybody. Experts were leaning on the idea that the way people once looked at their own bodies, were standing before a major revolution. It was almost as if people's bodies had reshaped themselves to prepare for undergoing major sex changes, however these were going to turn out.

It was clear as day for many, including Emmett, that he was going to have to adapt to these new changes. Hannah could no longer fit inside her old clothes, and actually had to borrow some of his to look presentable going out in public. For Emmett, there was more trouble. His legs had become those of a woman, but his height had remained the same. Rather than shrinking slightly, he remained just as tall as before, but now with legs that had to adjust to his body frame. This meant that his hips were now wider, and his butt was bigger, than those of an average woman. Fitting into his jeans was actually more difficult for him now, and he couldn't downgrade to Hannah's clothes like she upgraded to his. Buying larger women's jeans wasn't an option yet. For one, there hadn't been any demands for it before the shockwaves, and for another, given that the demand for these types of jeans had suddenly skyrocketed, there was a good chance he wouldn't be able to get his hands on any for some time soon.
