Leapfrogged

"What the fuck was that?!"

It takes a second to register what happened. You were just driving along, finish line in sight, when suddenly you're flattened. You see a second and third Red Hare streak past you, clearly coming from Natalie's character. You're not sure how she managed to nab that without you noticing. Natalie barges into you while you're still stopped, pushing you off to the side, and takes first. You crawl the last few metres into second, turning to her before you'd even passed the finish line, saying, "Well, I guess you want me to untie your hands now?"

You're a little surprised to see she's already half done herself. The strand of rope falls from her mouth as her hands wiggle free. It's not all that surprising, really - you specifically weren't trying to be too harsh. What surprised you was her reply.

"There. All done. Now put your hands out in front of you." She asks this as she gets down on the floor too, sitting facing you.

You turn to face her, looking confused. "Huh? But I-"

She cuts you off again. "A-a-ah, I said they could ask for a knot to be removed, or put one on." She chuckles, again "I didn't ask for anything, did I?"

You get the feeling she planned this, but you're too caught off-guard to really challenge it, stammering out a complaint about technicalities instead "Oh come on, what's to stop you just trying forever to untie yourself? Or just setting the controller down and un- and re-doing the same knot over and over again?"

She makes a show of it, exaggerating a gaze up to the ceiling, and pretending to scratch her chin in thought. "Y'know, you're right, lets give you a time limit for getting out of your bondage!" You consider that bringing this up now wasn't the best idea. "Lets say... the escapee has 5 minutes after the winner passes the finish line before they have to concede. Any longer, and you're probably not going to get out. Now, c'mon, put your hands out, before I reconsider."

Begrudgingly, you put your arms out in front of you, hoping Natalie takes pity on you. She... kinda does? You hold your hands out together, but she moves them an inch or two apart before she starts to wrap around them as one, looping around a few times, before she asks you to stiffen them. You do, and she tightens the loop. Then, she brings the ends together and twists, before wrapping both strands perpendicularly to the previous loops a few times before she ties the knot on the opposite side to you. You're left with a rope facsimile of the more solid-style of handcuffs.

Mirroring your earlier question, she turns to face you, and asks "Are you OK? Is that too tight?" You give your hands a few tugs - your wrists are mostly locked in place, but have enough room to rotate. Restricted, but not in pain or discomfort. A quick rotation of your wrists doesn't reveal the location of the knot. You nod in the affirmative, before picking up the controller; Intentionally or not, your hands are similarly placed to how they sit normally when holding one, so you don't feel like you'd be particularly put-out by the bondage. The bigger problem is your excitement. This looks like it'd be tough to get out of alone, at least in 5 minutes. Your pulse quickens. You're actually getting to experiment with bondage!

Natalie hits the "next game" button, and you move on.
