Le Tour

"I was struggling to come up with something for July Stew. Great idea to use the Tour de France" Diane offered congratulations. "Well, I've always wanted one of these state of the art exercise bikes where you can program them to simulate all the stages of the major tours" Stew explained. "And it suddenly struck me when I was talking to the guy in the store and dreaming about buying one. I asked him if he'd be amenable to loaning us one in return for the publicity. He wasn't that enthusiastic but when I explained the idea fully he jumped on board, as long as he can use the footage we shoot of Debbi on the big screen in his shop."

"Goes without saying. No problem with that" Diane confirmed. "I told him she'd be cycling naked " Stew added. "Goes without saying. No problem with that" Diane repeated, laughing.

"So, Le Tour De Lobby. Jeff loves the idea. We set up the small stage in reception again and have the bike set up sideways near the window so anyone passing can see" Diane began. "I'm getting posters printed" said Aditty. "What stage are we programming ?" Diane asked. "Well, we've got to be realistic" answered Stew. "We can't expect her to be riding 200 Km, or riding over the Alps, even if only virtually." "True" Diane reluctantly conceded. "Stage 7 is a 25 Km time trial and fairly flat. The pros'll do it in around 50 minutes but who cares if she takes two or three hours ?" Stew suggested. "Perfect, stage 7 it is" Diane agreed !

"We'll have feeding stations along the way, I'm sure we won't be short of volunteers to go up and give her water and a bidon !" said Stew. "Maybe we can spray her if she's getting too hot ?" laughed Aditty.
