Lauren lies

"I-it's fine," Lauren said, not wanting to look down but also not wanting to meet her mother's eyes. She settled for staring at a spot on the wall just to the side of her mother's head.

Caitlin breathed a sigh of relief, unaware of just how thoroughly she was still exposed, but she stayed flushed red.

Even if the shield did hide her, it didn't change the fact she was still somehow stark naked in a busy room of the Underground HQ, and that all that was really covering her was air, albeit air that had been pushed together.

"Do- do you think you can hold it?" Caitlin said, voice shaking.

"How long for?" Lauren said.

"As-as long as it takes for the room to clear," she said. "Or for, um-" Caitlin swallowed, then raised her voice slightly. "Can- can someone bring me some c-clothes? P-please?"

Like the room was going to clear at all when there was a naked Caitlin Strucker to stare at. Lauren hoped her mother didn't realise how much people were staring.

But, well, she was going to be exposed either way. There weren't any better options; Lauren knew she had to have lied. Otherwise she'd just have made her mother even more frantic, but not achieving anything. At least this way she'd been spared some distress.

Even if she was still red-faced, still well aware of her own nudity, even if she thought she was only close to being exposed, rather than already fully visible.

"Mom?!"

And then Andy walked into the room. Flustered, Caitlin turned around to face him; Lauren tried to not stare at her mother's ass, instead frantically gesturing to Andy; she shook her head, putting a finger over her lips, silently urging him to not say anything.

He wouldn't want to make her feel humiliated, surely?

"Hi Andy," Caitlin said with a nervous smile.

Andy blinked, opening his mouth to speak before he caught sight of Lauren's gesturing. He paused, then frowned.

"Um... what's..." he said.

"Lauren's helping me with a... problem," Caitlin said. She hesitated, cheeks flaming. Just saying it was embarrassing. "Could you go to our room and, um, fetch a dress? Or, uh, anything?"

"I- uh, sure," Andy said. "You know, um-"

Lauren shook her head even more frantically. Caitlin would be thoroughly humiliated if she knew both her children could see her naked, let alone the rest of the room.

'Don't,' Lauren mouthed.

Andy hesitated.

"I'll, uh, be right back," he said.

Rather quickly he turned to leave, leaving the red-faced and unwittingly still exposed Caitlin behind.
