Lauren is hungry

Lauren's belly was growling and that meant she needed to eat something soon or risk passing out. It had happened to her before and the last thing she wanted to do was pass out in a busy mall. That said she clutched the ten dollar bill in her hand and left the makeup section to find an eatery.

As she only had a small amount of money, the fancier eateries were out of the question, it would have to be one of the food stands down in the food court. Taking the escalator down to the food court she considered what she would get to eat. A burger and fries? Some Kung Pao chicken? Maybe a nice salad? All these thoughts of food in her current state only made her hungrier and so distracted she didn't notice her problem until it was almost too late.

She was nearly to the bottom of the escalator when she tried to pick up her right foot to step off and discovered that the end of her jeans was snagged in the the machine! She had only moments to act before she met a very messy end. As she saw it she could wrestle with the escalator and try and pull the caught fabric free or she could kick off her shoes and shimmy out of her jeans. Whatever she decided though she needed to act quickly.
