Lauren and Olivia at work

Lauren and Olivia sat working at their computers in the reception area. Well, Olivia was working. Lauren was checking her various social medias. Olivia was of course annoyed by the blatant laziness of her coworker, but she knew better than to complain. Lauren had the favor of every doctor and administrator at the hospital, and if Olivia spoke up she was often berated herself for bothering people. So all she had to do was stew with resentment.

"Hey Lauren, did you prep Room 211 for that patient?" Olivia asked. "The one the doctors were going to show to their students for education and training?"

"What?" Lauren asked dismissively, scrolling Instagram. "You do it!"

"Oh no, Dr. Culver assigned this duty specifically to you! There were multiple emails!" Olivia objected it.

"Fine." Lauren shook her head, rising to her feet. "I could use a walk. Don't mess anything up while I'm gone."

Lauren walked away. Actually she more strut, swaying her hourglass hips and turning every head in the hospital as she passed. Olivia scowled after her. Little miss perfect, who did she think she was?! Just because she had a perfect body and everyone was attracted to her, Olivia thought bitterly.

Just then Dr. Culver approached with his twenty students. They were all medical school patients, eager to see him examine the special patient.

"Excuse me Olivia, is our special patient in room 211 ready yet?" They asked.

Olivia almost said no, Lauren was still preparing the room, but then she paused. She suddenly remembered Dr. Culver was new, and had never met Lauren, due to her frequent sick days.

"Why yes, they are all ready for you." Olivia said, knowing full well it was just Lauren in that room.

Let Lauren be the special patient who got examined and studied, Olivia thought with a grin...
