Laura Kinney (Marvel) vs Cassandra Cain (DC) vs Kimiko (The Boys)

Three women, each trained from a young age to be weapons made to kill, escaping and working their way towards being better, and eventually becoming heroes along with their own teams and support systems of fellow superheroes.

Laura Kinney, also known as X-23, or Wolverine, depending on who you ask, the 5”1 female clone of Weapon X, Logan. Created by The Facility, a shady organisation that trained her from birth to be the perfect assassin and ultimate weapon. These days. She runs with The X-Men, fighting for mutant rights, and to ensure nobody has to go through what she did ever again. Possessing the powers of Wolverine, minus the adamantium skeleton, Laura is virtually unkillable, a lethal, skilled combatant by all means, mastering several languages, infiltration skills and martial arts, much like the next combatant.

Cassandra Cain, a woman of many names, Orphan, Black Bat, Batgirl. Regardless of what she’s called, one thing remains true about Cass, she strikes fear into the hearts of everyone she encounters as she patrols the streets of Gotham. The 5”5 girl was born to two assassins, Cassandra was trained to be a warrior from birth, although these days she trains with The Batfamily, having close ties to Batman, Spoiler, Oracle and many more. A master martial artist, outfighting the likes of Batman and Lady Shiva themselves, Cassandra’s combat capabilities are legendary, rivalling those of Laura’s. She’s also a woman of very few words, not unlike:

Kimiko, also referred to as ‘The Female of The Species’, born into a world where superheroes care little for who they save, caring more for popularity and personal enjoyment. Kimiko was injected with the experimental substance known as Compound V at a young age, **** to work for a terrorist group known as The Shining Light Liberation Army, she was trained to kill since she was a child, something that eventually resulted in the traumatised woman turning mute, not at all unlike Cassandra. Kimiko fights with ferocity and primal anger, and can recover from almost anything, rivalling Laura Kinney… She stands at about 5”2, although proves that appearances can be more than deceiving.

Safe to say, the three women have more in common than one might think at an outwards glance, sharing powers, skillsets, appearances, and of course tragic pasts. But were the three to encounter eachother in battle, who would win? There’s only one way to find out.
