Laura's clothes are getting some stares

As they walked down the sidewalk, Chester began to notice that Laura was getting them quite a few stares. One lady in particular took one look at the scantly clad demon and covered her son's eyes. Chester looked over to Laura and noticed her face has barely changed; she either didn't seem to notice or (more likely) didn't seem to care about all the attention.

"We should probably get you some better clothes." Chester said. "I think people are starting to stare."

"Let them stare. Why should I care what they think? But you did technically summon me so who am I to say otherwise?" said Laura. Chester started to notice the tone of her voice and started to feel a little guilty.

"Could you tell me what Hell is like? If you don't mind of course." said Chester, testing the waters. Laura tensed up when she heard that and had a look that reminded Chester of his granddad who was in the Army during the Vietnam War.

"I think I do mind. I can't stop you from forcing me to tell you but I would rather not, or at the very least not now." said Laura, nearly on the verge of tears. It was at this point Chester started to suspect that there was something about her past she wasn't telling. He decided not to **** the issue.

When the two finally made their way to the local shopping mall, Laura seemed to have calmed down a little.

"Come on, there's a department store right over there." said Chester. They walked into a JD Nickels and started to browse the women's section. They didn't get much progress into the racks of dresses, skirts and tops because Laura didn't know her measurements.

"Hello, is there anything I can help you with?" asked an employee.

"Well, actually there is. This is my...girlfriend, and she just got back from Europe and doesn't remember her sizes." Chester lied. He knew it wasn't that believable but it would work for a little while.

"Let's see what we're working with here..." the clerk said. "Hmmm...just follow me miss. We'll need to take some measurements and see what we have in stock." She led Laura to the dressing rooms near the back of the women's section and grabbed a tape measure from the nearby desk. Chester decided to wait outside the rooms while the two women stepped inside. He could hear the employee humming and asking Laura to raise and lower her various limbs. The clerk stepped out of the dressing room to grab some underwear and a bright red dress off of a nearby return rack, and handed them over the door of the dressing room.

"I think these will fit you nicely." said the employee, handing them over the door of the dressing room.

"Could one of you come in and zip me up please?" asked Laura, before the clerk stepped inside. After a couple of minutes, the two women walked out and the sight that greeted Chester left him speechless.

"What'cha think geek boy?" Laura asked striking a seductive pose. Chester just stood there, eyes as big as saucers.

"I uhh...gosh you're beautiful." said Chester with a brightly red face. Laura let out a slight giggle at Chester's lack of words.

"Well I guess I did pretty good to get that reaction." the employee said, giggling. After grabbing some matching red shoes from the other side of the store, the two paid for everything and left to grab something to eat at the food court.

Laura sat down at a two-person table while Chester ordered two burritos from a taco shop. She was in a really good mood ever since Chester complemented her back in the clothing store. She looked up just in time to see Chester walking back with a tray of burritos.

"I hope you like chicken. They were fresh out of everything else." said Chester.

"It's alright geek boy." said Laura. "Man, this way better than what we had back in 1929."

"So I've got one more question for you." said Chester.

"Shoot your shot geek boy." Laura responded.

"Don't demons feed off of...you know, energy?" asked Chester.

"We can but its much easier to get what we need the old fashioned way." responded the blonde. "Why? You finally thinking about getting frisky? There's a bathroom right over there we could sneak into."

"No no no...I was just curious." Chester said, once again turning red.
