Chapter 11 by JackKinnoph JackKinnoph

She decided her best course of action to deal with this would be…

Lasso It (End)

She needed that bomb out of the way and fast! She pulled out her lasso, twirling it around, before throwing it. She hooked it with ease! This was really just bridge bombs on a larger scale, really. With a grin, she yanked it, changing its trajectory dramatically, as it flew over her head. The burning barrel crashed down behind her with a deafening boom.

With a confident grin on her face, she looked forward to the next volley, bouncing across the uneven ground towards her. She roped it and flung it high and away.

Unfortunately, this one didn’t blow harmlessly. When it went, it blew up right above Tex, and in a tragic coincidence, right above one of the sandstone ledges that were closing her in on both sides. Though these windswept crevasses didn’t fall to rockslides often, the compacted rock had no resistance to such a blast, and a giant slab sheared from it. “Oops!” Texas could only manage a single word as it crashed down on her.

Marian looked back as the giant rock laid the sheriff flat. “Bah. Well, at least she’s out of the way for awhile.”

Tex should have watched where things blow up. You never know what’s happening just above your head.

THE END
