Lara is freed

After a long day, the bronze paint vanishes. Lara’s skin reverts back to it’s pale colour. She is now able to move her body and speak once again.

“Oh my goodness, that isn’t a statue. That’s a naked woman!” The visitors look upon Lara in disbelief.

Lara drops the shield and spear, and immediately tries to cover herself with her hands. She is still wearing the Roman helmet, making her look even more ridiculous and absurd.

“Lara?” One of the tour guides recognises her.

“Hi there,” Lara smiles awkwardly, “would anyone be so kind as to lend me some help?”

Lara’s cheeks flush scarlet and she feels every inch of her body turn to ice. She would like to run away and hide but the helmet on her head and her lack of clothing prevent her from doing so. She attempts to smile back, but the smile doesn't meet her eyes. Lara is a fish out of water, feeling horribly, horribly exposed. She is naked and out in the open, and to top it off, she is completely stiff from the bronze paint, which makes her movements clumsy and exaggerated. It's like she’s regressed to the age of ten, with how awkward it is when she walks. Lara is sure the tourists around her are finding the whole situation absolutely hilarious.

Lara returns home with a deep hunger and is absolutely spent. The one good thing coming out of this nightmare is being able to finally get a bath and some proper food. She is horrified when she thinks of how many people have the potential to see the videos and photos of everything that happened to her today. She imagines that the news of her day will spread across London within the day, but the internet means that the whole world can know what happened.

“I really don't know what to do now. This whole day has been ridiculous!”
