Lake Hylia

They rode across Hyrule field, the two of them on Link's horse. She sat in front, leaning against his chest, and he steadied her with his arms around her. As the horse galloped, jostling them, he could have moved his hands further up her body and passed it off as an accident, but Link was sadly too decent for something so daring.

They travelled south until they reached a lake as clear as glass. "Oh, it's beautiful!" Zelda said. "I never get to visit Lake Hylia as often as I'd like." She had an affinity for water. Nayru, Goddess of Wisdom, had been the one to create the seas and rivers, after all, and Zelda was as much in her element here as Link probably was in the forest.

Link smiled back at her, but he didn't say anything. He never said much. They dismounted and Zelda approached the shore, taking in the view. "So, what happens now?"

"Well," he said. "I thought we might go swimming."

Zelda turned to him in surprise, and then looked down at her dress. It was an elegant gown, one suitable for walking, riding, and being looked at, but not swimming. He wasn't … she bit her lip. He wasn't suggesting that they go skinny dipping, was he? She was a princess, and could never do something so scandalous! Unless he went first.

"I thought you might like to see the Water Temple," he continued, unaware of her emotional turmoil. "So I visited the Zora's Domain the other day, and got something for you so you could breath under water."

Oh. Well, that made sense. Zora's could breath underwater, and they could enchant clothing to grant Hylians the same ability. Zora Tunics, as they were called, weren't that different than what Link was already wearing, except blue. On the other hand, improvements in their methods allowed the Zoras to manufacture the same enchantments into far less cloth, and some of the new outfits they made could be quite embarrassing.
