Kyoka Jirou's box

“It looks like Kyoka is first up,” you say as you hold up the folded up punk rocker clothing and lacy black underwear. You passed the clothing to Diana who put it off to her side. Without the clothing on top, the back of Kyoka’s head and the VR helmet was all that was exposed. The box was still filled with a solid mass of packing peanuts. You noticed that it wasn’t a perfectly smooth mass like it was when they pressed Kyoka inside but you figured that it was just something that happened in transit.

“I’m going to need a little help getting the peanuts loose, they pack them tight to avoid issues,” you say as you try to manually dig through the packaging. Diana and Gaige go to help you loosen the molded plastic but Gaige flinches when two thin fleshy earphone jacks go shooting out of the box at you. Diana didn’t hesitate and grabbed the two jacks tightly, causing the still boxed girl to scream in pain.

“Swy, swy, swy,” could be heard as Diana pulled the jacks causing Kyoka’s head to be lifted out of the packing peanut none too gently. Kyoka’s head was still covered in the VR helmet but the jacks extended below the lip of the helmet. You could see some of the tape that was used to secure her earphone jacks hanging very loosely and not securing anything. She also still had the oxygen mask and feeding tube.

“Looks like we have a feisty one,” you say a bit lamely. Gaige unplugs the VR helmet from its power source and takes it off Kyoka’s head. Kyoka flinched at the sudden rush of sound around her and she had to blink away the spots in her eyes as her eyes adjusted to the lights in the room. She ducked her head on seeing the unamused looks most everyone had. “Let's get her out of the box.”

Gaige hands you the VR helmet as Diana, Erza and her work together to dig Kyoka out. “You have the option when ordering to give them traveling entertainment, some sexual but mostly books, movies and shows they can select with their eyes. So they have something for the five to ten day trip,” you say to a CameraTrap. Kyoka, who had Erza’s help in removing the feeding tube and breathing mask, spoke up.

“You gave me thirty seasons of Keeping up with the Cardassians, a bunch of Doctor Who seasons, and shitty romance books,” She spoke with a scratchy voice and glared, coughing a bit afterwards. You frown, you were confident that Hinata received the romance books and the Cardassian show; Gwen Ten would’ve gotten the Doctor Who.

“Huh, they must’ve messed up the programming. I was sure I selected music documentaries, music programs, and a bunch of superhero stuff,” you shrug with an apologetic smile.

“At least you weren’t left with nothing but darkness,” Alex chuckled awkwardly. You were confident that Gaige was going to cut out that little interaction from the video.

“Sorry, I’m having a music studio set up if it makes you feel better?” You say as you set the VR helmet down and get a small knife from Erza. You use it to cut the duct tape around her legs and body, and you then help her to her feet. Diana and Erza reacted quickly when her legs gave away and caught her. Katara, who had brought refreshments along with Kate, quickly got up and got water from her satchel to go over Kyoka’s arms and legs.

“You are going to need to take it easy, your muscles need to get used to moving again,” Katara said after a quick evaluation. You will never regret having Katara take nurse and medic training for Kataras, though you did almost have a mix up when picking her up the first time. “Now, breath deeply, this is going to feel weird.”

“What do you mean–whoa! Whoa!” Kyoka shouted as Katara focused on her and bloodbent the blood in her body and quickly did some circulation and muscle flexing. After a couple seconds, Katara lowered her hand and sighed. Kyoka shakily stepped forward as Erza and Diana carefully let her go. “I–I feel a lot better…what was that?”

“Bloodbending to help you out, I suggest sitting down,” Katara calmly said, guiding Kyoka to take a seat on an empty couch. Erza and Diana move the empty box to the side and move another in its place.
