Krystal invites you for Staff Drinks

You’re packing up after the last lesson of the day when Krystal appears.

“You up for a drink?” she asks.

“Sounds perfect.”

The route to the pub has a diversion to the staff room, where Blair is waiting. The tall, blond PE teacher smiles as she sees you.

“You accepted. Good”

The nearest pub is the Drowned Guppy. You walk with the mismatched pair, Blair used to a brisk stroll, Krystal slower and more laboured. You accompany Krystal. Blair sets off at her pace, realises the two of you are behind her, then pauses for you to catch up. After the third of these, she looks at you exasperated.

“How about last one there has to buy the round?”

“How about first one there has to buy the round?” you counter-propose.

Blair laughs, winks at you and then wags her finger. “I guess if there was a pint waiting on the bar Krystal would speed up.”

“Not all of us have your long legs,” Krystal counters.

“You need to do more exercise.{if Blair=2} John can show you the gym, now that I’ve shown it to him. {endif}”

At the pub you pause to peruse the room. At the back you see Abigail, Spencer and Anissa. They’ve noticed you. Abigail raises a hand in acknowledgement. You wave and follow Krystal and Blair to the bar.

“I’m buying,” you tell the two women, and neither of them objects; a pint for you and Krystal, a small glass of white wine for Blair.

“You should loosen up,” Krystal tells her friend.

“I am loosening up. You don’t know how much I’ll have to do to burn off this much ****. {if Blair = 2}But I am planning some real intensive exercise tonight.” You feel her eyes burning into you. {else}“{endif}

“Why don’t we join the others,” you suggest when the drinks have been served.

Krystal doesn’t seem so keen. “Are you sure. Those 3 look down on us.”

“Oh come on, Krystal,” is Blair’s response. “They’re our fellow teachers.”

Krystal is **** but outvoted by the 2 of you and follows.
