Krissy refuses Selene's offer

Krissy took a moment to gather herself, her chest rising and falling as she inhaled deeply. The room seemed to darken in tandem with her thoughts. The once enticing room now felt oppressive.

She set her wine glass on the table nervously, her gaze meeting Selene's. "I appreciate your... hospitality," she began cautiously, "But I don't think I can do that."

Selene's smile faltered for a split second, replaced with a flash of anger before she regained her composure. "My dear Krissy, you seem to misunderstand. This isn't a simple offer. It's your only chance."

Krissy shook her head, tears shining in her eyes. "I can't do what you're asking me to."

Selene's laughter filled the room, echoing ominously. "Everyone pays for what they get in life." She leaned forward, her gaze icy. "Remember this, turning down an offer from someone like me is a choice that comes with its own set of consequences. You'll be right where you started tonight, alone and helpless; easy pickings for the streets out there."

Krissy felt a chill, tears filled the corners of her eyes as she considered going back out onto the streets after a taste security.

Selene's expression hardened. "Or maybe you want to reconsider, though I think I might have to teach you a lesson in humility."

Krissy struggled with the decision and Selene's looming threat.
