Krissy darts into the men's room

Not waiting for a second longer out in the middle of the bar, Krissy practically ran into the men’s room. Eyes still full of tears, she shoved into the room and pushed into the first stall she saw, quickly closing it behind herself.

Krissy fiddled with the latch to lock the door, but it was stuck, and she could not lock it. Near panicking, Krissy gave up and decided to just lock the main door to the bathroom. That would have to be good enough.

Stepping out of the stall, Krissy moved back to the door to the room and latched the door’s deadbolt. She breathed a deep sigh of relief and leaned her back against the door. The solid feel of the wood reassured her.

Krissy didn’t know what she was going to do next, but at least she had a moment to think without worrying about what one of those scumbags in the bar might try.
