Kjerstin grabbed her bathroom bag and turned toward her bedroom's side of the fire escape. She'd take a single step before she stubbed her two on the rusty metal rails.
"Ow!" she yelped, dropping her bag. Lotions and soaps spilled out, falling through the gaps in the metal. In spite of her lunging for them, even going so far as to throw herself along the floor after a runaway bottle - saved, thankfully! - several fell through the gaps.
"No no no!" she moaned, hitting the railing with one delicate hand, grimacing at the dirty marks it left upon her just-cleaned skin.
"Now I'll have to go get them if they haven't fallen all the way down," she moaned.
Knowing that American cities were full of crime Kjerstin was certain her European make-up would be a tempting target for some dashing thief. Consequently she knew that she should waste no time in pursuing them.
But could she do so naked, or should she change, or maybe at least slip on a robe or something?
