Kitty & Kori meet MJ

Gwen Stacy's apartment, Gotham City

"Kori, I'm glad you're here. I got an emergency text from Gwen -- something's happened to her," Kitty said, worried.

"I came as quickly as I could, Kitty," Kori replied, giving her lover a reassuring hug. "I am here to help in any way I can."

Kitty looked up at Kori and gave her a sad smile. Even with all her duties as an X-Titan, the Tamaranean was willing to drop everything to be by Kitty's side when she needed her. "I know, Kori. And I love you for it. But what's important is that we act fast now -- I can retrace her steps..."

The two were interrupted by a knock on the door and a woman's voice. "Gwen Stacy?"

Kitty opened the door to see a very pretty redhead standing there, a woman who looked just as worried as she was. "And you are...?" She asked.

"My name's Mary Jane Watson, I'm from New York City. My girlfriend, Barbara Gordon just went missing here in Gotham," MJ explained. "She's a good friend of Miss Stacy's, and I thought maybe Gwen knew something..."

"Gwen's gone missing, too," Kitty explained. "We might be able to help each other out -- my name's Kitty. I'm Gwen's girlfriend, and this is our friend Kori."

"Koriand'r? Of the X-Titans?" MJ recognized the Tamaranean princess immediately from Barbara's stories and pictures. "I--you know my girlfriend!"

"I do?" Kori asked, confused. Figuring that she may be able to get the help she needed if she revealed Barbara's identity as Spider-Girl to the women she was talking to, she decided to tell them everything she knew.

"Yes. Barbara Gordon... is Spider-Girl," MJ admitted. "And I know that Gwen Stacy is Batgirl -- it's a big reason I came here. I thought if anyone could help, it would be her."

"I see. I guess if we're throwing it all out there, I also go by Nightcat," Kitty admitted, spurred on my MJ's honesty.

"Nightcat? Babs has told me about you," MJ said. "I've heard you have a very... unique relationship with Gwen and Kori over here." Kori blushed at MJ's remark.

"We can discuss that later -- right now we should look for clues. Gwen wrote an emergency app for my phone to track her if something like this ever happened, so we have a lead."

"Babs did the same for me," said MJ, pulling out her phone. "I think this'll help."

"Great! This should be more than enough to track them. I'm not the detective Gwen is -- Batclaw always said she was his star detective -- but this is plenty for Kori and me to go on."

"You and Kori? You know I'm coming with you, right?" MJ asked.

"You know, Miss Watson, I would say it's too dangerous, but I know your type," Kitty conceded. "You'd end up going alone..."

"Damn right I would!" MJ nodded. "And trust me, I can take care of myself. Being Spider-Girl's girlfriend has given me a hell of an education in dealing with supervillains. Oh, and call me MJ. We should probably be on a first name basis -- after all, you do know my girlfriend's secret identity now."

"In that case, I very much look forward to working with you," Kori said extending her arm out for a handshake, which MJ quickly accepted.

"Same here. Welcome aboard," Kitty said as she, too, shook MJ's hand.
