Kiss the protestor
You push her mask up, revealing a tanned, slightly awkward face. Her cheeks are round and her nose is big. She’s cute, especially with that turned-on, but startled look on her face.
Before you can do what you were planning on, she impulsively leans in and kisses you on the mouth, putting her arms around you. You were going to give her a playful kiss on the cheek, but you are not about to stop her.
You separate, and she’s blushing.
“Ah!” you cry out as the vibe goes off again. You grab her, and she dies laughing, holding you tight.
The bathroom is crowded, and you can’t move.
“Sorry,” you gasp.
“It’s OK. Normal things. Normal things that people do,” the girl says.
“I’m sorry!” you wail.
Then the vibe cuts out.
“Fuck me,” you say angrily, straightening up. It didn’t even feel good. You wobble, but stay on your feet. You clear your throat and the girl tries to keep her face straight.
“I have to get back,” you say, pretending to brush yourself off.
“Wait,” she says quickly, reaching for her phone.
“Don’t worry about it,” you say, stopping her. “I’m CCL. You know where to find me.”
You aren’t sure if that line is cool or ridiculous, but it seems to work. She stares at you in awe, and you leave the bathroom. That went well. A little honesty and a little confidence can go a long way, it seems.
Back at the table, you find business going along smoothly. Yuki and Athena are posing with pair of teenage girls. Nancy takes the picture for them. You’re a bit of a distraction as you approach, looking the way that you do. You take your seat, and Athena sits beside you. You see it: the moment that she tenses, as she must smell the sex on you. But she says nothing.
“I guess you did a good job,” she says, impressed.
“Trying my best,” you reply with a little laugh. You are still a bit taken aback by what happened. That escalated quickly.
“Should we reward you?” Yuki asks, holding up her phone.
“Don’t even think about it,” you snap, giving her a warning look.
“It’s OK, Meri.” Under the table, Athena puts her hand on your leg. “I’ll take that for you.”
“For shame,” Yuki says, shaking her head at Athena.
“Oh,” you say, embarrassed. “OK.” You are a mess down there, but it’s too late to stop her. Athena slips her hand into the bottom half of your costume and retrieves the vibe. You feel better with it out. She discreetly passes it back to Yuki, who smirks at you.
“Was it good?” she asks.
“I’ve had better,” you tell her.
She snorts.
“OK.” Athena puts her hand on your shoulder. “Lunchtime, Meri. You earned it. Go and be with your friend.”
“Thanks,” you say, standing up and stretching. You have a whole hour to be away from this booth with Colby. You waste no time getting your phone out and texting her to find out where she is, then you pull your mask back on and hurry off to meet her.
She’s out by the food trucks, all of which have long lines. You just did all that exciting stuff, but her costume still makes your heart race. She’s Sailor Mercury. The costume isn’t as high-end as your Spider-Man one, but her figure and the way that she stands and acts bring it together. Her blue wig is perfect. The only flaw is that she doesn’t have sexy Sailor Scout boots, just her white tennis shoes, but… you are not feeling critical.
“Wow,” you say as you walk up to her. “You look amazing.”
“So do you,” she says, avoiding eye contact, not that she can make it when you have the mask on. You pull it off, laughing.
“Oh, this?” You touch the ropes still binding your chest over the CCL T-shirt. “Yeah, these shirts are a bit much. And this harness, I guess,” you add, noticing how all the guys in all these lines are staring at you, much to the chagrin of their girlfriends. “I can take this off.”
Colby just shrugs, still not looking at you.
“What’s wrong?” you ask.
“Who was that girl in the bathroom?”
You freeze, your hands on the shibari ropes. “Um,” you begin, your mouth suddenly dry. Right. Right, right, right. This is a con. There’s no privacy. You didn’t even notice Colby in there, but you were a bit distracted.
Brush it off: “Some protestor that came to the booth…”
Or
Laugh it off: “Wasn’t she cute?”
