Chapter 19 by annat173 annat173

How will she respond?

Kiss him and cuddle.

I couldn't help it.

I rushed up and kissed him.

He was stunned at first, but then melted into it, closing his eyes, holding my face.

His lips were soft and gentle, and his hold on me was a light touch. He held me as if I were made of glass, a precious thing he didn't want to break.

My nose touched the side of his, and feeling his comforting warmth reminded me that I, the world-renowned Elvish Assassin who was the fourth heir to the throne, was kissing the human Prince of the South.

As the blissful moment was ending, I backed to an inch away from his face.

He rubbed my cheek and chuckled. "Just one more reason for your Stepfather to want to kill me."

I smiled. "Well, Master, what's he going to do about it? Send a moonlight elf to kill you?"

He caressed my cheek, looking into my eyes. "We're going to stop this war, and I'll be right here with you the whole way."

I nodded, nearly tearing up.

He hugged me.

He didn't say it out loud, but I knew I was one of the few people who trusted him, standing by his side and giving him hope that he wouldn't die before his coronation. I was one of his few true friends.

For a while, we just stayed there, while he held me, tracing my skin with his finger and breathing in my scent. I wish I could just stay here forever. In his arms.

Eventually, we had to get going, and we got back on our horse. Cuddling would have to wait until after we stopped the war.

"Why are we going to the medical tents if you finally agreed to let me kill the King?" I finally asked, leaning back against him on the horse.

"Well, because best case scenario, we start an uprising against the King. We need to have the people on our side before we do anything violent."

"And...worst case scenario?"

"I get killed, you get **** and tortured and killed."

I swallowed. "That's...definitely not good."

"Yeah, I won't be able to fuck you if I'm dead."

I rolled my eyes, but bit my lip. He still needs to train my pussy to fit him.

"Ah well, I wouldn't want to break a pretty little thing like you anyways."

"I...excuse me?" Would I really...physically...break?

"You're excused," he replied flatly. "I said I'd probably break you if I fucked you right now. I suppose I could really _go to town _on you under the full moon, where you're constantly healing yourself up."

"How long would it take to train...to train my pussy?"

"Just a few minutes of loosening you up. Humans can get fisted, so I'm sure you can get fucked."

We rode on in silence for a while. I wanted to say something, but I wasn't sure what.

"So, what's your big plan with going right next to the front lines with an elf?" I finally asked.

He paused for a moment. "I just need to show them that elves aren't inherently evil. Once they see that, I can drop the 'black magic is evil' bomb on them."

"And then we suddenly have a rebel army or something?"

"Maybe. We just need to motivate people to stand up to the King. He's been taxing them heavily for a while because of the war, but because of the propaganda, they think the war is necessary, and that he's got eyes everywhere."

"And then we just stay out of his way until your coronation?"

"If I stay away for too long, he'll have turned the castle and some citizens against me. He's probably spreading rumors about me already. If he can't kill me, he can still discredit me."

"But the nations would still be at war, even if we overthrew the King. How could we possibly establish peace? The North thinks that human destruction is detrimental."

"We'll figure it out," he said.

It wasn't very encouraging.

We rode all through the afternoon, evening, and night, only stopping to let the horse eat or drink.

We arrived the following sunrise.

I wore a hood as we rode closer to the army camp. I started getting more and more anxious as we neared the tents. The medical area was a mile away from the active army, and a mile and a half from the front lines.

I was as close to home as ever but I was only getting more scared.

"You'll be alright, I've got you," the Prince said gently as I pressed into him tighter.

"I'm the enemy. They'll kill me and hate you."

"Do you trust me?" he asked.

I nodded numbly.

"The reason it's dangerous is the reason we have to try," he said. "Never leave my side. Keep a hold on my hand. Don't say anything before clearing it with me, and I'll speak for you. Don't look anyone in the eye. And never, ever, attack."

I nodded.

"If things go horribly wrong, then run home to the North. Cause as little damage as possible."

I nodded again with a gulp.

"Do you want to stay behind and hide somewhere until I give you a signal?"

"It's safer with you," I said insistently. "Would you rather I hang back?"

"No, but if they see you and they're not ready to accept you, they might lynch you. Still, you're probably safer with me."

I nodded.

Will she enter the camp with him?
