King Francois is Dead. Long Live King Louis

King Francois is found dead at the foot of a long set of stairs. His neck broken from the fall. To most, this is nothing more than a tragic accident. Francois wouldn’t be the first person to die due to fall down the stairs. He wasn’t even the first noble and he surely wouldn’t be the last.

But Alana and Franz Karl know better. This is no accident. This is a pre-meditated and willful ****. King Francois was pushed. Though whether Alana did it herself or if she had someone do it is something Franz Karl does not waste any of his mental time trying to ponder. Now, is Franz Karl upset that his cousin died? Of course he is. Francois was family. But will he avenge his ****? No. Francois should have known better and been more careful. Add to the fuck he got cucked by a much younger King whose child his wife is probably carrying now.

But Franz Karl plays the role of a grieving cousin very well. So well that even Beatrice buys it. The whole nation of Frankia is informed of their King’s passing. Most mourn for his ****. King Francois is considered a good King by his people. Who did a great job doing right by his people. Others, in particular the higher nobility, wondered what will happen next, will Louis be a good King, could he be manipulated and be bent to their whims?

Louis takes console in Jacqueline’s arms. His younger sister Antoinette is crying into Alana’s chest. Despite being a harsh and demanding man, Francois was still their father. For both political and friendship reasons, you are there for the grieving Louis. You don’t regret fucking and possibly impregnating his wife but you know the pain of losing a father. Though you didn’t mourn or cry as much as Louis and Antoinette.

“Thank you, my friend, for seeing us through this tough time.” Louis says to you after his father’s body is buried.

“It is what friends do.” You tell him oh so casually considering what you and his wife did behind his back.

Louis is soon crowned King. The coronation celebration has majority of the Frankian nobles gathered. Some speak to you offering flattering words and praises. At this point, you know they have possible ulterior motives. Most of them talk to Franz Karl. Whatever they talked about, you don’t know. But you can see clear as day how they look at Franz Karl with a balanced combination of fear, admiration and respect.

Once the celebration dies down and the noble guests return home, Louis gathers you and those involved with the plan.

“This plan has to be postponed,” Louis announces, “my first act as King cannot be to take my people to war.”

Both Emmanuel and Franz Karl see his point and do not argue. They agree that one year from now, the war will begin. For now, let Frankia grieve its old King and aclimate to its new King. Plus, Alana adds in, Louis has some scheming nobles to deal with.

With that settled, everyone agrees to go home. This time can be used for more preparations and as well as weeding out any and all dissenters.

You all prepare to go home. Beatrice and Franz Jacques ready themselves to go to Grand Driton. Helga intends to head back to Daynland and relieve Otto of his command there.

Three weeks since you first laid with Alana and Jacqueline, the two women announce their pregnancies. You know full well the children are yours. You congratulate the two as well as Louis.

Now it is time to head home with haste. Dorothye will give birth soon and you need to be there.
