King's Landing

You have always wanted to see the capital city. Of course, you have already SEEN it several times before, but all of those were only when you were passing through the Crownlands. Now would be as good a time as any to actually enter the city. After all, people from every walk of life work and reside there. That means your prospects for both employment and motherly care are more numerous, more diverse, and arguably more promising than almost anywhere else in the Seven Kingdoms.

Anyway, you travel along the eastern road for a couple days. Soon, you arrive at the edge of the Riverlands. Then you converge on the Kingsroad, which breaks off to the south. You direct Aerion down that path. Within a week, you come to the outskirts of King's Landing. As you feast your eyes on the capital city, you smile in anticipation of what you might find within.

By the way, we have already established that Aerys is the one who sits the Iron Throne now. However, at what point in his reign is this supposed to take place?
