Kenny Meets Up With JJ

As soon as Anna left the bedroom Kenny let out a long exhale, feeling the release of all the awkward tension that was pushing down on him. Anna had been a close friend for years now but she had always been with Eric up until a few months ago. Whatever feelings he had felt for her, lustful or otherwise, were quickly put in their place when he had learned of her boyfriend. Not to mention that Eric was good for her, and he'd never have tried to rock that boat.

Yet, here she was single, sharing a room with him, and he couldn't help but feel his heartbeat just a little faster at the thought. Kenny moved to the bathroom, starting a shower as he replayed this morning in his head, waking up with Anna in his arms, her body against his...not to mention how perfect she looked in her tight white shirt and panties. However, before any images of Anna possibly taking them off could take over Kenny's mind, the name Eric was thrown back in his face.

The very first thing she said was Eric, it wasn't as if she had suddenly forgotten the man and that's who she thought she was cuddling with. Then, when she learned it was Kenny instead, the blonde had all but fled the room. A long sigh left Kenny's lips, he was kidding himself if he thought Anna Ross was in his grasp just because they were sharing a bed.

The brown-haired teen took a quick shower and redressed quickly, leaving his room and heading down the stairs. He was almost thankful for Anna not being in the room when he came out from the shower, he was still deep in self-loathing, and he didn't feel like having to explain why he was suddenly so down. As he reached the first floor he heard JJ's voice call out to him from the den, "Yo, morning dickhead,"

Turning towards the man with a smirk he headed into the den, "And why the hell am I a dickhead?" Kenny scoffed back,

"Because you were acting like one last night," JJ joked, "Seriously, I don't think I've seen you that tired ever dude, and you weren't feeling anything but sleep once we got here,"

"Can you blame me?" Kenny retorted while falling onto the couch,

"Not really," JJ chuckled before crossing his arms and raising a brow, "So, I hear you are bunking with Anna, huh?"

"Apparently, I just woke up in bed with her," Kenny nodded back, "And before you ask, no, nothing happened,"

"Uh-huh, sounding a little defensive their buddy," JJ replied, "You sure nothing is going on?"

"Yeah, nothing happened, we slept, woke up, what's with the inquisition?" Kenny retorted with a shake of his head, "Is Mindy up, I can go talk with her instead,"

"That," JJ pointed out, "That right there is why I'm asking, normally I'd ask and you'd joke with me, but look at you, so serious, so ready to put it to rest. Some awkward shit go down?" He continued, his voice turning more serious, and with friendly concern,

Kenny looked towards the den doorway, making sure no one was coming before leaning closer to JJ, "Look, nothing happened at all, honest. I just woke up spooning Anna, she was like hugging my arm and she was just in her underwear. Honestly, I freaked out a little, I didn't know how to react, and neither did she, we just ended up laughing and she babbled out an apology before running from the room,"

"Okay, well that's not a bad thing man," JJ easily replied, "Anna's a nice girl, and that gives you something to build on, you can joke around, turn that from awkward into a good memory. Then maybe, who knows what happens," He said trying to build some confidence in his friend,

"I wish man, but I seriously doubt it, she was calling me Eric when she woke up. Anna's not over him at all, there's no way I would be able to try to get with her with him still in her mind," Kenny replied with a short shake of his head,

"Ah don't be like that, you put yourself down before even trying you'll never succeed, you at least gotta try, you're a good dude, just like Eric. Anna likes good guys, she just needs to know you're interested," JJ easily denied,

Kenny let out a short half-laugh, "I don't even know why we're talking about this, I didn't come up here to hook up with Anna. Sure she's cute, but I never had a crush on her or anything,"

"Fine, fair enough, just keep in mind you know Brian wants in there but right now you got a foot in the door. If you are willing, I think you got a good chance," JJ said with a shrug, "I'm gonna go get some breakfast, you coming?" He asked as he stood up,

"Sure," Kenny agreed while following his friend out of the den and into the kitchen.
