Keep your trap shut

Your lips are sealed, even as Pearl breaks out in a cold sweat.

Silence on your part may not have been the smartest move, because when Macy looks Pearl's way, she reads her sister's guilty expression like a book.

"Chase," says Macy in a dangerously even tone of voice, "if you knocked up my dumb horny sister, you're marrying her."

It's not a suggestion. Pearl burns red with embarrassment.

You attempt reason. "But -"

"Ah!" Macy cuts you off you.

"What if -"

"Ah ah ah!"

Pearl observes the exchange from other sidelines, her expression inscrutable.

Macy points a spatula at you. "If you say anything other than 'yes ma'am', I will kill you."

Trapped between Macy's glare and Pearl squeezing your arm so tight your hand's gone numb, you really have no other option.

"... yes ma'am."

Business concluded, Macy nods. "Good boy." She turns back to the stove. "How many eggs would you like, Chase?"

You put in an order for two sunny side up. Macy cracks them in, while Pearl looks wonderingly up at you with big, pretty blue eyes.

"What?" you ask, meeting her gaze.

The curvy girl quickly looks away. "Nothing."

Yet, she squeezes your arm just a little bit more tightly than before.
