Keep talking

Catman took a deep breath and tried to stay calm. He didn't want to let Black Mask see how afraid he was. Black Mask's threats had made Catman nervous, but he wasn't going to back down from a fight. Catman needed to figure out how to deal with Black Mask.

"What do you want from me?" Catman asked, trying to sound confident. "Why are you after me?"

Black Mask let out another laugh. "Oh Catman, you're so funny," he said. "You know exactly why I'm after you. I'm after the same thing I've always been after. Power. And you're the only one who can stand in my way."

Catman didn't know how to respond to that. He could hear the hunger in Black Mask's voice, and it made him nervous.
