Keep it light, conserve energy

You reveled in the thought that Kazumi would do whatever you asked in her unique state. Stuck with a body with a size she'd never known, and an extra mind to drive her in directions she'd never take, Kazumi seemed content to lay atop you, letting your hands roam as she kept her arms and legs stretched out. She'd lean into your head scratches, and sigh contentedly with each time you gripped her breasts, or wriggle her hips against you when your fingers trickled down that far along her form to tease it. It gave you plenty of time to rub her body all over, where Kazumi was in command of herself enough to let you touch her body however you pleased, so she could enjoy it. Zoe clearly didn't mind, if she remained attached to Kazumi to let her call the shots.

But, that was as far as you went. Your body was still terribly sore, and the last thing you wanted to do is overexert yourself when Chloe or Ela couldn't fix it. So, you spent your casual time playing with her body. Kazumi had her Hideki Snap on hand, so she played the video games she intended to play over the weekend anyway while she lay on top of you, still letting your hands roam while you watched her play from her vantage. Every so often, between levels, she'd turn and lovingly lick your face.

"It's sort of amazing just how much of Roxie bleeds through into your behaviors." You tickled your fingers along Kazumi's stomach.

She shrugged a little. "It's really, uh, not bad I guess. Like, with Zoe's body, I could get used to all of it. This sort of, just, casual touching is pretty nice, it feels really good in here with all that. So, even if Zoe was giving me a choice to stay a part of her--which, for the record, she isn't--I'd probably agree to do it anyway, just like this."

You continued for a little while longer, before eventually Kazumi got up, put on a shirt, and curled up at the foot of your bed where you lay, pretty much like Roxie always did.

You closed your eyes, and projected to Ela's body. She jumped a little, since you hadn't been present for a while, but you blinked from your new conscious center, looking at Chloe, and then down at the seashell in your hands. You recognized that even though the sun was nearly down, the full moon allowed for plenty of light to wander the beach still, and there was a lot to see while the tide was out.

Chloe immediately recognized the change in attitude in Ela, setting down her own seashell she'd been observing in the moonlight. "Hey there, Emily. We'll be heading back soon, everything okay?"

You nodded Ela's head. "Oh, yeah, everything's fine. I'm surprised you're still out here."

"There's so many creatures!" Ela exclaimed from her disembodied voice. "The beach is so wonderful. Tomorrow, we should go swimming! Chloe and I can make mermaid tails so we can explore, and I could hold a lot of air inside me for some really long dives!"

Smiling, you turned to Chloe. "Sounds like tomorrow will be eventful? I'm not much of a swimmer, but I've never had fins before, so I'm sure we can make it work."

"Ela's been working up a big to-do list for the weekend. Swimming, boating, trying new foods, beach volleyball, we're all going to be worn out when we're through with it. But the shapeshifting potential is really something worth practicing, especially into non-human shapes."

You nodded, glancing around at all the sand and listening to the wave crash along the shore. "When you do come back, Kazumi's napping and I might be asleep soon too, just so you know. Maybe I'll feel more ready for adventure in Laura's body tomorrow."

"You might be healed enough, but we shouldn't overdo it," Chloe said, as she motioned to start heading back toward the hotel. "I'd expect you to be mostly good to go by Sunday to really operate on your own with Laura's form under your command. You'll probably be able to walk around fine tomorrow, but no beach volleyball for you without assistance!"

"Besides, I really sort of miss having you in control," Ela said quietly. "Or, at least having you near, able to share your thoughts so I can act upon them. I don't want it to sound weird, but it's true! Having some time to myself with Chloe is nice but I want to have fun with you and Zoe and Kazumi and the dog too!"

"In the morning, I promise we'll be back together, doing anything you like. Maybe we'll get Zoe and Kazumi and Roxie to split up so you can toss a frisbee for my dog to get her exercise. Although, I'm sure you could toss Kazumi a frisbee right now and she'd chase after it still... anyway. Come back for the night, get some rest, and let's have a proper beach day tomorrow with the whole crew. Maybe we'll jumble up our group a bit more, who knows. Maybe we'll all mix together our skills for something fun in bed, as well."

Chloe grinned. "I'm still going to find something to one-up Zoe's adorable trick with Kazumi and the dog. I can't stand she beat me at my own game..!"

You giggled a little. "Okay, I'm going to sleep. Goodnight, you two, we'll enjoy ourselves in the morning."

You drifted back to your own self, but kept your eyes closed, quickly drifting to sleep with your dog-human friend lying curled up near your legs. It was a peaceful start to this weekend, who knew if that would last.
