Keep It Slow...Mostly

You smiled and walked back to your living room, you wanted to seduce her, you wanted Katara to just want you eventually. Seeing that she already had some sort of crush on you, you figured that this wouldn't be too hard to do. Another twenty minutes past before the shower finally stopped and ten minutes after that Katara came walking out. She walked into the living room and gave you a large smile, "That was amazing, and I can use that whenever I like?" She asked sitting back down on the couch next to you,

"Yeah, though I gotta admit you take a long shower." You replied with a short chuckle,

"Oh, sorry." She said blushing ever so slightly, "It's just really...comfortable."

"Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm just surprised that you didn't start pruning up after the thirty minutes." You said giving her a once over,

"Water bender," She said with a smirk, "Being in the water feels natural to me."

"Of course, right." You said with a nod, "Well I figure we may want to be getting to bed soon."

"Really? It's still light out." Katara replied while looking up to your light fixture,

"Um no, it's not actually." You replied while getting up and walking to the window to open the curtains. Katara's eyes widened and she got up, staring out at the night sky in confusion. "We have the ability to have light whenever we please."

Her eyes slowly dropped a bit and they almost seemed to well up, "Everything is so different but it's also so...amazing."

You closed the distance between the both of you and put your hand on her lower back, "Sorry, hope i'm not overwhelming you."

Katara let out a soft smile and turned her head towards you, "No, it's-it's fine John." She replied while holding a gaze. As much as you wanted to keep everything going so slow you couldn't help but press forward and kiss her. Katara's eyes went a little wide as you leaned in but as soon as she felt your lips on hers, she melted into the kiss. You could almost feel her trembling from nerves but she didn't pull away, after just a few seconds you slipped your tongue into her mouth. She didn't really seem to know what to do with this but accepted it none the less. It was just around thirty seconds before this kiss ended and when it did you looked closely at Katara for her reaction. Her cheeks were burning red now and she stared at the floor, unable to look at you directly, "Um, so...sleeping." She squeaked out,

"Right, sleeping." You whispered back, "Follow me." Katara let out a short nod while still staring at the floor before silently following you to your room. You opened the door and extended an arm to your bed, "You can take my bed for now. I can sleep on the couch."

Katara took a step past you and stared at the bed. "This is all mine?"

"Yeah, I can take the couch." You replied simply, "Sleep tight."

Just as you turned around Katara called out, "John, wait." You looked back and saw her easily shift back into her shy attitude, "I mean, you've done so much for me already and the bed is quite large. We could just share it."

You let out an easy smile, "Really? I appreciate that but I can take the couch no problem."

"No, no, I...I insist." She said with a little smile. You let out a little thankful smile and walked over grabbing a change of clothes. You took a quick minute to change before both you and Katara got into bed. "Goodnight John." She said softly to you before you both drifted off to sleep.
