Chapter 22 by Ulap38
Does Kaya go with her friends? Do they stay? A little of both? What's going on with Jan and Gan? What about Kay?
Kay shows up and takes charge
As everyone stood transfixed as they listened to Jan's cries of pleasure, Kay came into the room.
"They're having a grand time and don't need me butting in," Kay said with a smile as she first saw Steve.
"Glad to hear it," Steve said in response.
Kay's gaze then turned when she realized Kaya's friends were there. "Well hello there!"
"Hi, Ms. Kay," Dimitra and Mina greeted in near-unison.
"Hello, Ms. Kyalantri," Tasos said bashfully.
"It's just Kay you guys," she protested with a smile. You're all practically family, you should know this by now." She thought a minute, then looked at Kaya. "Is that today?"
Kaya nodded. "I forgot too."
"I'd say it's..understandable," Dimitra said, noticeably leaning an ear to try and better hear the sounds of sex. "You've all been busy."
"But we shouldn't be so busy as to ignore our needs. If we are going to go out into the human world, we need proper clothing," Kay insisted. Her gaze went over those gathered before going to Steve. "You and Jan are our guests so we don't want to put you out, but if you'd like you could go along. If you want to get to know the mythfolk community, it's a good place to go to. Everyone goes through there at least once."
"That does sound like a good idea, though I wouldn't want to leave without letting Jan know," Steve explained.
"Maybe you should go up and tell her?" Kaya teased.
"He wouldn't mind seeing his mate railed?" Mina asked bluntly.
"Mina!" Tasos and Dimitra both scolded her.
Steve had to chuckle. "It's okay. Jan and I are very accepting."
"Oh really?" the question came from Dimitra, though Tasos and Mina also looked intrigued.
"Very," Kay confirmed, giving Steve's arse a playful squeeze. "While Kaya and I really must get those clothes, you don't have to come Steve. You could always stay here. I'm sure some of these upstanding young people would be happy to stay and keep you company," she said teasingly.
"I volunteer!" Mina said suddenly.
"You need new clothes too!" Dimitra protested. "Don't you want to stop wearing human hand-me-downs!"
"That can wait!" The orc woman protested.
"I would be happy to either accompany our lovely hosts, or stay and mind their home, perhaps meeting good Steve's vibrant fiance," Tasos offered.
"You're such a schmoozer," Mina said to Tasos.
"I don't deny that," he admits.
Kaya whispered to Steve. "Mina's got a bit of a crush on my dad, though she won't admit it. She wasn't of age last year, but now she is. Tasos has been fond of my mom for years. He came of age early this year as well."
"Sounds like a lot of hormones running around," Steve whispered back. "What about Dimitra?"
"She's the eldest of our circle, and the only one besides me whose been to one of my parents' parties," Kaya explained.
Steve thinks a moment.
What does Steve decide? Who stays and who goes?
When Worlds Collide
High fantasy meets suburban drama
About every 500 years our plane of existence overlaps with another, during this time when these world collide beings from each world can travel to the other through rifts. The world in question contains all those fantasy creatures which are so well known to us. Collectively they are known as Mythfolk individually they are the Elves, Centaurs, Dwarves and Orcs. Countless creatures from this other world, this other place. All evidence of this happening was destroyed during the dark ages, but now it is happening again. This time however we are more advanced than last time, this time we are more accepting of differences. So this time, some of these creatures have started to migrate here, to our world. This is the story of two humans who live in a quiet neighbourhood and what happens when some fantastical neighbours move in.
