Kay lee accepts the offer

Becky silently watched from her car as Kay lee Ray disappeared into the waiting airliner.

only then did she break down and allow her tears to fall.

they had already said their farewells.

they had kissed, hugged then kissed again with Kaylee having to tear herself away from Becky to avoid missing her flight.

now Becky openly wept.

her phone began vibrating.

annoyed Becky scrubbed at her eyes and looked at it.

a picture of Kaylee, smiling close lipped and winking her left eye with the message:

"don't cry sweet lass. and doen' act like ye arent. nae bullshit Becky."

Becky smiled through her tears and replied with a laugh emoji.

a moment later a call came through.

Becky answered and she could hear the murmur of people settling into the flight.

some kid was screaming in the background.

"Becky, I can still get off o' the plane if ye want."

Becky sniffed.

"no. it's ok Kaylee. go and compete and enjoy yer self. win some gold fer me. I believe in ya."

she heard Kaylee breathing and some rustling as she got into her seat.

"all right. but if I come home te find ye Blootered again we're havin' a talk."

Becky laughed.

"I promise I'll have Shotzi hide the booze from me."

Kaylee laughed and Becky knew she would miss that sound.

"okey dokey. I Love ye bunches sweet Becks."

"I love ya too Kay lee." Becky hung up with some difficulty.

she sat there and watched until the airplane took off and was gone.

the drive to the arena was silent.

Becky was alone again.

Kaylee was on her way to japan for several months and Tegan was back in the uk sorting her life out.

"come on Becky. ya've managed before, ya can do it again." she said quietly.

"just watch who ya trust."

Becky got out of her car and walked to the arena.

Sonya Deville met her in front of her office.

"somethin' I can do fer ya?" Becky asked as she entered her office.

"Becky I'm glad you're here. Toni is still insisting I face her for my match."

Becky glanced at her.

"and? we made the match. Toni beat Mandy in the Chocolate bowl match. she earned her shot."

Sonya scowled.

"Becky I don't think that-"

"wait!" Becky grinned suddenly.

"yer SCARED of Toni! aren't ya?!"

"wha-? I-..." Sonya sputtered.

"NO IM NOT!"

Becky shrugged.

"then what's the PROBLEM?"

"Becky,I'M the women's champion I shouldn't have to-"

Becky lean close to her face all humor gone.

"now look HERE." Becky said quietly.

"a real champion will always fight an' DEFEND her title.

if ye can't do that I'll strip you and make sure we have a champion that WILL."

Sonya's eyes narrowed.

"I thought you might say that."

someone hit Becky from behind slamming her face first into the wall.

Becky tried to turn but a strong hand grabbed her by the neck.

a tattooed arm wrapped around her pinning her arms to her sides.

Becky struggled to break free.

"NOW Becky," Sonya said softly, "you're going to reinstate me as full owner of smack down and cancel my title defense."

"if yer so good why not defend it?" Becky taunted.

the arm tightened around her.

"watch your tongue Becky." she heard Rhea Ripley say, "or I'll PIERCE IT."

"I shoulda' known.." Becky muttered.

Sonya picked up a pencil.

"Rhea shove this up Becky's ass. she needs to learn her place."

"now hold on a minute!" Becky yelped as she tried to get free of Rheas grip.

"I'm doing my JOB! I'm makin' matches and-"

"No Becky this is MY job. and I WANT IT BACK."

Sonya smiled as Rhea leaned harder into Becky pinning her down.

"you don't have Kay lee ray and Tegan Nox to hide behind now."

Sonya said softly, her breath hot on Becky's cheek.

"how did ya know..." Becky's eyes widened.

"who do you THINK sent the offer to NJPW in the first place?" Sonya said evilly.

"I knew that with Tegan back in the uk it was the perfect time to strike. I just needed to get your wife out of the picture."

"you bitch!" Becky snarled. she tried to break free but Rhea held her down.

just then the door opened and Toxic attraction walked in.

"are we interrupting something?" Gigi asked, taking in the situation.
