Katniss is attacked by two male tributes

For a few hours, the sound of the cannon goes off, marking each **** of a tribute.

Unsure of where Peeta is, Katniss keeps moving, getting as far as away from the centre of the battlefield as she can. As the sun starts to set, the brunette stops at a river, a source of water she’s desperately after.

For that moment, she had let her guard down. In a quick instance, she’s ambushed from behind. Katniss's heart pounds as the District Three male tribute's strong hands grip her from behind, his hot breath tickling the back of her neck. She struggles against his hold, but his grasp is too tight.

He’s not alone, a District Seven male tribute snatches her bow and arrows from her quiver, leaving her defenseless.

"”Let me go!” Katniss snarls, thrashing wildly. But the tributes only laugh, their eyes glinting with cruel amusement as they drag her deeper into the woods.

Katniss's mind races, trying to formulate a plan. She knows she can't overpower them physically, not without her weapons. She needs to find a way to escape and use her speed.
