"Got her shields!"
"Two more on the right."
"Point battery three disabled."
"Laser Battery 1 is down. Direct hit."
"Laser battery two is down."
"Bridge hit."
Katla could feel all eyes turn to her as the ship 'died'. She'd set herself up in the rear, watching each station as they dealt with the scenario. Essentially she'd put them in the role of the enemy. A corvette facing down another of it's number along with a light carrier.
"A decent showing." Katla said after a moment. "But I would have liked at least one kill." She said moving forward. "Look here." She mentally brought the image of the battle up to the screen at the bridge's front. "Notice how quickly things fell apart after losing battery three." She highlighted the point defense battery. "Shifting some shield power there might have kept it alive long enough to protect battery 1 from that last shot." She plugged that variable in and let it run for a few seconds. Sure enough the fire got through but not enough to totally kill it. The missile still got through but was slightly deflected into the ship's underbelly. Lots of damage but not to the weaponry. "Remember. Its about staying in the fight as long as possible. If you're going to end up on your knees its better to make them work for it. Lets run it again."
