Katherine Kane, the Batwoman

"So what are our options?"

Kate Kane sat at her office desk, diligently typing on her laptop. It had been a long day at the office -- since learning about the deal that had apparently been reached by New York's apparent 'Kingpin', Wilson Fisk, and Lex Luthor, she'd been tirelessly researching the new major players in the business world that had popped up due to the convergence. Right now, she was on a call with Oracle, who'd been doing research of her own while investigating the disappearances after the convergence.

"I'm not sure I can tell you much you don't already know," Barbara answered. "Queen Industries would be ideal, but with Oliver missing and Emiko having to learn on the fly... well, she's got a lot on her plate right now. We may need their help, but I think we have better options."

"What about Rand Enterprises?"

"They're in the same boat as everyone else... Danny Rand, their CEO, is nowhere to be found. At the moment, there's a big leadership vacuum at the top of the company, casuing a power struggle between Joy and Ward Meachum... might be more of a headache then they're worth.

"Damn. Well, I've recently started speaking to Emma Frost -- what do you know about her and Frost Industries?"

"I'll admit, she does come across as one of the better choices we have," Barbara replied. "She's a brilliant businesswoman, and she's affiliated with a number of groups with decent reputations. That said, everything I've gathered on her suggests she's got a ruthless streak. She's definitely not as morally bankrupt as our old friend Lex, but she's not exactly virtuous, either."

"She did come across as very pragmatic and cold during our conversations," Kate remarked. "Still, she could be a valuable ally going forward. I think we should maintain a friendly relationship with Frost Industries, but we should also hold back on going all in on any business ventures with them."

"Good call," Barbara agreed. "I think we'll need each others' help eventually, though. I'll see what else I can dig up on Emma in the meantime."

Kate nodded in acknowledgement. "Let me know what you find. Moving on, I'd really like to talk about Pepper Potts of Stark Industries..."

"From everything I've learned about her, I like her," Barbara answered. "Intelligent, ethical, resourceful, great leader... she's got a great head on her shoulders. If she's anything like her reputation suggests, she'd be more than willing to go head to head with Luthor and Fisk. Personally, I think she's the first person we should call about any business enterprises."

"I fully agree," Kate said back. "I've met her a few times since the convergence, and she's impressed me every time--"

As if on cue, a call request from Alfred Pennyworth popped up on Kate's laptop screen. Kate accepted the call and added Alfred to the current call with Oracle.

"Hello, Miss Kane. Hello, Miss Gordon. I apologize for interrupting your call, but I thought you would find this important," Alfred said. "I have Miss Virginia Potts on your personal line at the moment -- shall I connect her now?"
