You are Kat (legally Katherine Alexander), an 18-year-old orphan geek girl with an advanced implant computer. This station has some really crazy laws, though it's one of the few places slavery is illegal, not because they have anything against enslaving people. Instead, they have no use of slaves due to their exceptionally conservative social rules, where anything involving sex is taboo. Thus since slaves are only good for sexual purposes and sex is taboo, it is illegal to be a ****, not to own slaves; any slaves found on the station are burnt alive in a religious ceremony to cleanse the station of their sins. Of course, it's not just being a **** they burn people alive for, but anything they consider to be sinful. Despite their legally enforced obsession with morality and ethics, their idea of what's moral and ethical is far from what most people would consider, such as the fact that they do absolutely nothing to help orphaned children forcing them to commit crimes to survive. You have only barely survived since you were orphaned when your parents were murdered during a layover on the station. Only surviving to 18 thanks to your implant computer and its minimal database. While you have often thought about trying to leave the station, security is a lot tighter in the docking areas, and you have been you're scared to try.

However, everything changes when an attentive security officer notices a minor glitch in the looped video you set up while you break into the housekeeping area of a casino hotel. Unfortunately, they come to investigate, catching you in the act of stuffing a blanket into a small backpack to replace the worn-out rag you've been using. He sneaks on you, grabbing you from behind, but you twist to the side, elbowing him his unprotected groin before darting away as he collapses in pain. However, not before he slashes your leg with his tactical knife, opening a deep cut. You manage to flee back into a maintenance shaft you used to enter, sealing it behind you as he calls for backup while clutching his groin in pain. The problem is that he also managed to capture vid of you. It is only a matter of minutes before you see your identity broadcasted over the station net as a dangerous fugitive. Now you have **** but to try and escape the station before they catch you and burn you alive for the sin of stealing.
