Karaoke!

Dana got a couple drinks in when Steph took stage. This surprised her because she never pinned Steph as a singer. And she would be right. Steph took the mic and attempted to sing her favorite Taylor Swift song. The patrons at the bar got pretty quiet, with a few muffled laughs as Steph failed to hit every note she sang. Dana was trying her absolute best not to laugh at her friend making a fool of herself. It was quite obvious that Steph had gotten an early start with her drinking tonight.

As Steph hit her last off-key note, the light chuckles from the patrons turned into light applause. She gave herself a grand bow as if she received a standing ovation.

Dana chuckled as Steph proudly marched over to her.

"Okay Dana, your turn!"

"Me?? Oh no, I'm not going up there."

"C'mon!! You and I both know you're a much better singer." She then grabbed Dana by the wrist and dragged her to the stage.

Dana stood alone on the stage, looking at everyone at the bar. The crowd got quiet. She heard someone whistle at her in the silence. Then a song started to play, and she recognized it. It was an old 90s song that she used to sing in the car when she was younger.

So she started to sing it, and she was feeling good. She was able to hit a few of the notes and she heard a handful of people at the bar cheer for her. The more she sang, the more confident she felt. She started to enjoy this.
