Who breaks the stalemate?
Kalic does
Ismak looked at the elevator as it climbed towards his floor. Shots continued to ring out as the Black Daggers and the Guardsmen traded shots. The elevator arrived, revealing Kalic and his men standing ready, now armed with M430 carbines.
"Captain. Come with me." Ismak said.
Kalic followed his fellow Black Dagger towards the frontlines of the skimish. There, he saw one of his comrades trading fire with the Royal Guardsman. Debris sprayed when a stray round smacked the corner, causing the commando to fall over. Ismak grabbed the man and dragged him back before pointing to the wall. For a second, Kalic watched as crimson flowed from the wounded man's neck, realizing he would soon succumb to his wound.
Whilst Kalic placed the charges, one of his men proceeded to lob grenades down the hallway. This caused Verilla to retreat into the room. Unwittingly, she entered the radius of another explosive, the charges that Kalic had set. The room rattles as dust and debris fly. As Verilla coughed on the dust, she found herself looking down the muzzle of Ismak's carbine, which soon barked fire.
Corvis took up position, covering the hallway. After the barrage of grenades had ended, an SRT operator dared to poke his head out, only to enter Corvis' holographic sight. With a stroke of the trigger, he splattered blood and brain matter on the wall behind him. To follow up, Corvis proceeded to lay down covering fire as Kalic's men lobbed grenades towards the enemy position. Grenade after grenade went off, their explosions followed by Black Daggers storming the positions of the SRT. The occasional shot rang out, but the Black Daggers had finally managed to overwhelm the King's last line of defense. Now all that was left to do was enter the King's Chamber.

Tales of the Sidus Galaxy
For one hundred or so years, the Sidus Galaxy has been explored by its human empires during their Golden Age of Space Travel. To begin, this led to an age of exploration and discovery, but that all ended upon the discovery of Aurum Planets. These uninhabitable planets contain vast amounts of resources that have made fortunes for those brave enough to mine them. They have also taken many lives, from the hazards that await on the planets themselves, to the wars often fought in their name.
