“Mankey, watch for your opponent! Dodge any attacks, then counterattack!”

Mankey sits down.

“DON’T GET HIT, AND HIT IT, GOD DAMN IT!”

Mankey stands back up and goes on full alert. Several seconds pass, likely with your opponent either strategizing, or just trying to wear down Mankey’s nerves. Suddenly, she shouts, “Dragon Rage!”

A ball of energy is launched into the spotlight of the two guards’ flashlights, but Mankey’s reflexes are good enough to dodge. Following this, it charges in the direction the attack came from and easily finds Dragonair, unable to move much due to its fatigue and paralysis. Mankey delivers a quick Karate Chop, which is enough to knock Dragonair out.

The woman starts clapping. “Bravo, I suppose, for finally managing to take down my weakest pokemon. But if you plan to oppose me with a Fighting-type pokemon, then I ought to show you what a real Fighting-type is capable of. Go, Machamp!”

You can’t see it, but you know Machamp is the fully evolved form of Machop. It’s big. And strong. How are you gonna beat something like that? Or… stall it?

“Machamp, use Low Sweep!”

All you can think of is ordering Mankey to dodge, but the attack is too fast and covers too much space.

“Now Machamp, Seismic Toss!”

With Mankey still recovering, it’s easy for Machamp to pick it up and send it plummeting back to the ground. The quick combination of high-strength attacks is too much, and Mankey is down for the count. Well, you knew Mankey wasn’t cut out for this kind of fight, but it still makes you worried if she can take out your pokemon so easily…
