Just you and me

It's only been a few days since mom came back with her "New look", and so far, it’s been. . . fine. I mean nothing has changed, mom still works hard for us, keeping up with her realtor business, and sister hasn't really made a decision yet if she wants to make the change too or not, mom has been supportive but it's ultimately her choice.

I wake up and go downstairs, looking at mom in her business suit making breakfast and Ruth at the table with a suitcase

"Going somewhere?" I ask her as I sit down. "Yea, me and the girls from my club rented a cabin by the lake! We are doing a little study session since we are all basically failing anatomy"

"And she not coming back until she knows the textbook by memory" my mother dominantly adds in. "Guess it'll be just us baby"

"Oh, that’s cool! I don't really have any plans this weekend" I say

"oh, maybe you and I could do something fun! maybe go see a movie or go hiking on the mountain" she says

"Ohhhh how fun!" I tell her

"oh ok! I am out of here! Love you all" she then stands up and gives me and mom a kiss goodbye and head off outside, seeing someone one pick her up

"Alright kiddo, I am out of here, don't sleep all day ok" she then hands me a plate filled with mom pancakes and head off

mmmm the whole house to myself! what should I do?
