Just what IS this contest?

"You're not going to get anywhere doing that," I heard Blackfire snicker. Jinx sputtered in reply. It sounded like it was coming from the kitchen... Holding up my hand, I had Terra stop so I could take a peek. I then saw what this contest was. Apparently it was supposed to be my breakfast.

The girls, however, had very different ideas about what it should be. Jinx had made an omellete...with ham, if my nose wasn't mistaken. It smelled quite good and I was partial to omelletes...though I prefered sausage over ham. The smell was nice, but from what I could see, she had been a bit sloppy on the presentation. Well, you can't expect perfection, I suppose.

On the other hand, Blackfire had taken a very different route. Rather then make breakfast, she had put breakfast on. Her "attire" was entirely edible. Whip cream, cherries, the works. She was toying with a banana. I assumed she was either going to feed it to me or play with it in a far more sexual sense.

"Well, well," I remarked loudly as I entered the room. Jinx nearly dropped the plate she was trying to set on the table. Oops. "John! Jeez, don't do that!" Blackfire snapped, looking embarrassed at being startled. Noticing Terra, she narrowed her eyes. "Don't worry, guys. I'll keep him out for a good LONG while." I think she was mimicking Terra for that bit.

Terra blushed. "He was...better then I thought," she protested. Jinx rolled her eyes. "We told you so...but more to the point...this is for you, John." Hmm...which to choose? The breakfast they made seemed to personify them. Jinx was practical, sensible, but not beyond the concept of fun and pleasure. So she made a nurishing, filling breakfast that tasted delicious. Blackfire was more about thrills and quick pleasures without much consideration of the consequences. Eating nothing but whip cream, cherries, and a banana (maybe) wasn't very smart...
