Just as well

I turn to see the other dads and I see corpses of girick laying on the floor. My dad returns to the triangle and gets ready for the rest of the purge to attack. The other dads rest as much as they can before the purge start to attack again.

“Hey bud” I hear dad Call me. I turn to see him give me a small blaster pistol.

Dad asks me to“Only use it when necessary”

I grab the blaster and return to my friends. Before we finish preparing our self’s the beasts burst out from all sides. While dad continues to aim for their limbs and immobilizing them Chee and Minai’s dads fire at the lower half of the beasts face and body’s. Our parents continue fending off wave after wave of beast until hours later we can’t hear any more movement from the forest. Our dads are about to finish fighting the last wave of beasts. We sit to wait for our dads to finish but then we feel trembling in the ground.

“Ohh shit” We hear our dads mumble.

Our dads run toward us and are about to carry us when a huge girick charges out of the forest knocking down the trees in its way. I look up to see the girick standing on its four legs it is two times taller than our dads. It’s body looks almost completely covered in armor.

“Run!!” Minai and Chee’s dads ordered us while running to opposite sides of the huge beast. My dad runs straight toward the beast while trying to get its attention.

Minai, Chee, and me run towards the city. As we are about to leave the forest. We feel the giricks footsteps shake the ground. I turn to see how far it is from us and I see it running towards Minai. I take out the blaster dad gave me and shoot the beast. The bolt hits the beast above the eye. It looks towards me and lets out a roar. The sound sends shivers down my spine. My legs stop moving and my body stops responding to how I want to move. The beast slowly walks towards me it shows me the rows of sharp swords and daggers in its mouth. My body reactS to a survival instinct shoots the blaster again. The bolt hits the beast in the eye. Further enraging the already pissed monster. It launches itself towards me with its mouth open wanting to swallow me whole, it without thinking I raise me arm and point my hand at the large beast. The beast seemed to slow down and then stop as I notice the beast stoped in mid air I look around and see Minai also sticking her arm out In front of her. I then see her faint and the beast starts slowly descending onto the ground again I feel tired and I close my eyes.
