Chapter 22 by reaper13
Was it really just a dream? Or is there more to this nightmare?
Just a bad dream
Really … you had been out of it for that long? Remembering how Casey tried to **** you when you first met, you decide to check yourself again.
You still wore all the armor pieces when you lost consciousness. In fact, you notice she took the effort of gathering some ragged pieces of cloth and put them over you as some sort of makeshift bed sheet. Realizing how noble Casey has acted during your moment of vulnerability, you decide to give her a hug.
“Thank you, Casey.” You say as your naked torso’s connect. “I owe you one.”
Your breasts touch hers, but you don’t care.
“Don’t sweat it.” Casey says. “If it wasn’t for you, that creep would have choked me to ****. It’s the least I can do after you saved my life.”
When you finish hugging, you walk out of the tower and head for the river. You collect some water from the stream and wash off the dried up daemon blood. When you are cleaned you get back to Casey and dry yourself off with the cloth that served as your bed.
“Hey, Sabine.” Casey interrupts you. “I made this last night. I want you to have it.”
The doppelganger hands you something which looks like a tunic or some sorts, made from black plates strung together.
How weird, you don’t remember anything in this tower resembling black plates except for maybe …
You look at the body of the hunter daemon and discover a large number of armor plates missing. It would seem Casey has mutilated his corpse so she could make you a chest armor. You are not keen on wearing your enemy’s body as armor, but you remember how he almost bested you with a stomp in your unprotected stomach. You swallow once, and put it on. It is rather loose fitting, but it is better something than nothing. When you get to Gerlangen you can maybe find an armorer and exchange these armor plates with something more practical.
“Alright, time to head out.” You say.
You make a quick glance at Casey and see she was now wearing a hunter-plated tunic as well.
“Changed your shape again?” You ask Casey with a smile.
Casey twirls and asks “Can you tell?”
You and Casey continue your journey. The stream you follow eventually connects to a much wider river. The side of the river you are on is filled with trees belonging to the blauwalt forest. The other side is an open plains.
Casey leads you down the river and soon the two of you discover the bridge she had talked about. You remember this bridge. A couple years ago, when you traveled to the abbey at White Rock, you traveled across this same bridge. This is the Victory road. You run across the bridge, to the other side of the river. Finally, you have left the Blauwalt forest behind you. Gerlangen can’t be far any more.
Do you meet any interesting people before you arrive at the city of Gerlangen?
