Just Josh

"Sorry kids" Josh smiled "but mommy needs a pamper day and I can't have that with you two bickering the whole time. If you want to head to the mall you'll have to make your own way there". The kids groaned and tried to protest but Josh had already picked up his mom's keys and phone from the counter and made a bee line for the door. "K, sorry, see you later, love you, byeeee" Josh shouted over them as he pulled the door closed behind him.

He made his way down the garden path towards the curb where his mom's mid sized sedan was parked. He unlocked it and jumped into the drivers seat. Turning the key in the ignition he was greeted by his mother's taste in cheesy pop music blasting from the stero. Usually he'd have done anything in his power to turn that shit off immediately but today, it was growing on him. He tapped on the steering wheel and even hummed along as he pulled onto the freeway and made the short drive to the nearby mall. He pulled into the multistorey carpark and parked up, noticing several pairs of eyes checking him out as he sauntered over to the elevators. He pressed the call button and tapped idly on his thigh as he waited for it to arrive. The doors opened with a welcoming ding as Josh pressed the button for the main concourse.
