Just As Dark

Stumbling backwards and covered in a cold sweat, Sarah closed her eyes and stepped over the threshold into a dark and musky smelling tunnel, her feet sinking into the thick mud beneath her. The visions before knocking her off balance as she reached out with a hand to hold herself upright against the wall.

"C-mon," she spirtedly whispered to herself as she took another step forward but she then took a knee, the overwhelming impact of what Ms Henderson done to her carried on within her mind. She remembered looking up at the old woman, lying on the floor in a pool of her own sweat and tears, her top still partially up under her breasts and covered in bite marks and slobber whilst her trousers were now torn at the crotch. The expression in Ms Henderson's face was so vicious and malevolent that Sarah thought she might have died that day.

Crying softly and now leaning against the wall, Sarah was about ready to give up all hope and curl up into a ball, when suddenly she shrieked and jumped up with a fright as a rat quickly scuttled through the inside of her leg and brushed under the inside of her leg. "OH FUCK, OH JESUS! OH FUCK!" she wailed out as her nerves rattled around in her brain. The eyes of the rat seeming to be only inches away from her own, she was too afraid to blink, afraid that she would lose it, and although scared of rats, this little rodent could get her out of here if she followed it.

Bottom lip quivering and eyes peeled, she could feel the pounding of her heart and the horror in her mind, but she stepped forwards, then another, and another, and another, until she was facing the back wall of the tunnel and the rat was right there in front of her.

"Oh fuck" Sarah cried again as the rat sat up on its haunches and turned to face her. It was gnarled and balding in places with a twisted snout and grotesque expression on its face.

"C-mon little guy, show me the way." Sarah spoke, thinking if she was nice to it, then it would lead her out of this horrible place, unfortunately for her though, it just sat still for a few moments before quickly scampering away at a speed that was too quick for Sarah to see where it went.

"Crap" she called out as she turned to face the tunnel and the rat scampered off down one side. Turning back to face the other way, she stepped forward again, her blood boiled with terror as her mind quickly ran through a litany of nasty possibilities and she had started to think about them in so many ways she thought she would burst.

"I'm so scared," she whined out, looking around herself with hopelessness and back towards the room she had woken up in, the dying embers of candle light snuffing out any further light that she had and dropping her in complete and utter darkness.

Shivering and feeling her heart beat loudly in her chest, she summoned any courage she had left and turned around, she knew there was nothing but an empty room back there and if she wasted anymore time, she might as well have given up. "C-mon Sarah!" She told herself, stepping forward a few feet, her hands stretched out in front of her and trying to feel for the wall.

Slowly her hands glided over the wall as her trembling legs inched forward, and then a light emanated from something, a light much brighter than the candles. Slowly reaching out she pressed her hand against the wall, it was wet and sticky and although she couldn't see what she was touching, it was definitely the wall.

Taking a deep breath, she stopped there was a light at the end, she was so scared she wanted to run for it. Her fear rapidly increasing as she turned into the dark abyss from where she came, it was all too much as her heart rate increased and a cold shiver ran through her body, her skin prickling and goose pimples as she turned to face towards the light again and bolted for it.

Keeping one hand on the wall and running as quick as her feet would carry her, the wet sound of flesh slapping on the uneven ground echoing around the tunnel and her breasts slapping against her chest as she tried to run. Picking up speed and straining her eyes to see around her, she felt like she was running forever when suddenly the ground gave way beneath her and she fell, tumbling forwards, groaning and crying in pain as her naked flesh bore the brunt of her fall.

Through tears and what felt like one thousand razor sharp knives had scared her body, Sarah could just make out the edge of the room as she lay flat on her back on the floor, the room slowly dissolving into darkness as her mind slowly broke down, her body convulsing uncontrollably.

Finally Sarah could feel nothing, it was an extremely welcome feeling for her as she slowly tried to pass out, all she wanted was to finally go back to sleep and wake up and this nightmare would all be over. Looking around, she felt like she had been through a war zone as she winced and sat upright, her asscheeks sinking into the mud and debris, sending more shivers up her spine, every inch of her body aching and screamed with pain.
