What's next?

Juno shows you the community hall

Juno takes your hand and leads you towards the community hall, a large wooden building adjacent to the stone statue. As you enter the hall, the aroma of cooked food fills your nostrils, and the sound of laughter and chatter fills your ears. The hall is dimly lit by candles and torches, casting flickering shadows on the walls.

Juno leads you to a long wooden table in the center of the hall, where a group of villagers are seated, eating and drinking merrily. The table is laden with an assortment of dishes, from roasted meats to baked bread to steaming vegetables. You can see the delight in their faces, as they laugh and chat with one another.

Juno pulls out a chair for you, gesturing for you to sit down. "Make yourself comfortable, Nereus. We have a guest!" she calls out to the villagers, who all turn to look at you with curiosity.

One of the villagers, a middle-aged man with a friendly face, stands up and walks towards you. "Welcome to our hall, traveler. My name is Marcus. What brings you to our sanctuary?"

You introduce yourself and explain your circumstances, feeling a bit nervous under the villagers' watchful gaze. Marcus nods sympathetically, patting your back in a friendly gesture. "Well, you have come to the right place, my friend. Here, we take care of our own, and we always have room for one more."

As you settle into your chair, Juno brings you a plate of food, and you take a moment to savor the delicious aroma and flavors. The interior of the hall is warm and welcoming, with a cozy fire burning in a fireplace on one wall, and tapestries hanging from the wooden beams above.

You notice a few of the villagers staring at you with interest, and you catch the occasional whisper and giggle from the women. Juno notices your discomfort and leans in closer to you. "Don't mind them, Nereus. They are just curious about our guest. I think you might be the talk of the village for a while," she says with a wink.

You can't help but feel a bit flattered by the attention, and you engage in some light banter with the villagers, feeling more at ease with each passing moment. The hall feels like a true community, a place where people care for each other and celebrate life's joys together. You start to wonder if you might have found a new home after all.
